As far as I know, there aren't really waves. I always thought it was just one serie. Maybe others can shed some light on this.

There was only one wave. The flocked ones and a couple of the sparkly ones were SDCC exclusives. The see-through, glow- in the darks and gold were Chase Figures.

There were only 9 ponies:
Gusty
Lickety-split
Minty
Applejack
Firefly
Sundance
Glory
Snuzzle
Princess Sparkle

There were also some Hot Topic exclusive figures, like the glow in the dark Applejack. I think the "waves" is just different mixes of product sent to different retailers.

oh ok i see, sad, i was hoping there would have been some exciting differences, i was looking at the target usa site and it said wave 5 and so on and had them separated. kind of miss leading as it sounds like you get different ponies or gimmicks
must be a volume things eg. amount or gustys to glorys type thing.

thanks guys

All the ponies had a different chance of you getting them, and different retailers would choose specific figures. Thats how loyal subjects works. Its extremely annoying.
