Random IG seller?

So long story short, a person with a seemingly reputable sales page contacted me asking if I would like to buy a G1 bundle and I don't know if I should trust them.

Important details

• They're from another part of the world
• They sell clothes internationally
• They probably just looked at the mlpg1/MLP tag and saw a recent haul from somewhere
• They reached out to me.
• We messaged back and fourth a bit for like a day, then they stopped entirely on 2nd of Sept and contacted me again just today with a vid of all the ponies.
• Asked for shipping quota for Australia (I established that beforehand) and they said they'll need to get it tomorrow

Only a few of interest, one a green lady lovely locks dragon, the seapony that has the same colours as glory (maybe Whitecap?) A green and yellow Fairy Tail bird, TAF Sweet Tooth and one of those second year rainbow ponies (a blue unicorn) like in the same year as Trickle, Tickle, ect.

The rest are 1st years, like starshine, Moonstone, butterscotch, Cherries jubilee, Medley, ect.

So can I ask your opinion on this situation?

If the price is reasonable, just make sure you pay via goods and services. I've bought through IG a few times and had no issue.
You could buy the insured shipping just in case, but I know that can get expensive.

Yeah I'd be wary. In the past couple of months I've had people reach out offering their pony collections (on other platforms than ig, and a bit less randomly because I've posted "hey I'm looking for ponies") and all 3 have ghosted me haha which your seller has already done once.

I've never had anyone reach out to me randomly to sell me vintage toys, in fact usually I get "are you selling your collection? Can I buy xx or xx toys?" I'd be upfront and ask why she reached out to you in particular

Wait and see if you get/what the cost is of the shipping quote, I think shipping that many will be quite expensive you have to ask yourself if you want to spend all that money on ponies you don't want or need and didn't think about buying until she DMed you
