G2 McDonald's pony coming back Nov 7

I might be in the same boat, because there doesn't seem to be any advertisements or info on the event in Australia, I'll still be going in and checking a McDonald's out though

Edit: currently at McDonald's there's no promotion of the toys but Kotaku Australia says they'd be released on 21st November?

According to some auctions that I saw, it looks like each bag has a date with the original release year printed on it.

They're numbered like regular McD toys. The pony is number 12. So you can just go to your local McD, and ask to buy Toy #12 on its own.

I got her! The cashier had to open up a new box to find her (thankfully she didn't mind because she was looking for a specific toy for herself), and she ended up being the only one in the whole box! The previous box just had two. I'm not sure if she's intentionally harder to find or if each box just has a random assortment.

She's very similar to the original. The new one is a shinier plastic and has screws in her back, and hollow legs. But her colors and size are pretty much a match. Her back says 2019.

Congrats on finding her!

I checked earlier my McDs this morning. No G2 Light Heart to be found. Maybe she is rarer than others... Though I did check another location and they said they had toys #1, 5, 8 only - so maybe the toys just come in batches of a few different ones per box shipment, as I think is usually the case with Happy Meal toys?

Does anyone know if that's the case with these special ones?

My local McDonald's has them! My boyfriend brought Happy Meals to work for lunch

I didn't get Light Heart, but we did get 3 different toys. I'll have him try asking for #12 when he gets tomorrow's lunch!

Thanks for posting the side-by-side, I no longer want them. The screws and legs ruin the look. Also, there is only one, right? I would have been more interested in Silver Swirl.

Same.  Hard same.  I was excited until I saw a closeup of her, and I hated what I saw.  Why are Happy Meal toys so cheap-looking now?  Granted they’ve never been the pinnacle of top quality, but at least they were way more substantial back in the 90’s and early 2000’s.  I might still try to see if I can get a McNugget buddy and Dino Changeable, but now I’m wondering if those are going to be as bad as that cheap pony.

Screws killed it for me. I also already have Light Heart, so I didn't feel super compelled to get her in the first place. I'll probably end up thrifting her anyway.

I wonder if the screws/hollow legs are due to changing toy standards, or somesuch? I don't have the first clue about stuff like that, but I could see it being something along those lines.

I think she looks just fine for a cheap $1 toy Sure the original's nicer, but hey, repro G2, can't complain. Plus at least this way they'll be easy to tell apart.

Is there a list of what number equals what toy..? One of my sisters might be able to drive me to mcdonalds so I can get dollar menu and a toy during the event.
