Boiling the coating off Twinkle Eyed ponies?
« on: October 28, 2019, 12:32:58 PM »
I boiled my Galaxy and Locket today, and it seems the coating came off AND they gained cracks. I can't tell with Galaxy if she had them before or if she developed them today. The coating appears to have come back?? Locket's definitely shattered but she wasn't as in good of shape anyway. Anyone ever heard of this? I didn't boil any part of Galaxy, except for her legs, but there was steam.

I never boil ponies for fear of odd damage like this happening. I know it's great for getting out inground dirt, but I find it too risky. Those eyes are glued in to her head, so if they loosened up it'll look wonky.
A gentle wash in the sink with luke warm water works well.

Could you maybe specify what you mean with boiling? Is it the hot boil hair style technique? Cause if so my Tes have gone through the same thing and they are fine. Pics would also be great :)

I just boiled her legs. (I was gonna boil more of her then chickened out lol) Her eyes seem fine now but poor Locket's shattered.

I'll send link to photo-as I was dealing with issues. I have done boiling with Locket's hair about a year ago? And she was fine? (it worked with fixing her frizz!) https://i.pinimg.com/originals/82/1d/de/821ddee8c1b6ab033c53a3d018a97525.jpg
