Shooting Star Brushes - with a hole...?

Hi all.

I am a huge accessory fan and have tried to keep up with all the information online and in the Collector's Inventory regarding the G1 ribbons and brushes, but can't seem to find info on a shooting star brush I have that seems to have a perfect hole punched into the bottom right-hand side of the brush.

Can anyone shed some light on where they come from (similar to the hole in the shell brushes)

They were from the G1 plush ponies.  The hole was where they were attached to the pony.

Yes Flower brushes with a hole came with plushies
