The cover and back look pretty much the same. Apart from the huge Atari (3x ?), the orange border, the G-rating and G3 logo

Hey friends, I just wanted to point out that on the 3 MIB playsets (Dainty Dove, Ivy's salon and Light hearts canopy bed) that I've found on Australia eBay; only the canopy bed has the Kenner logo instead of the Hasbro one.

This might mean that the bed was more of kenners thing? And the chapel/salon was more of Hasbro's thing?

Yes, 15 Well, not new to my collection xD But I moved earlier this year, so they all had terrible hair after that! I might have worded that confusingly ^^' That's why I kind of want to shop for some more, though!

Friendsss I have been given free reign for an assignment and I choose to animate "The silvery Moon" from lavender Lagoon website!

Here's the near complete G2 storyboard animatic! The animatic is just missing the last few scenes, plus everything else an animation needs (Refined animation, colours, sounds, ect. I'm not gonna do voice overs, just subtitles.)

As a bit of background, friend Moonbreeze got this green G2 pony from someone in France.

She thought it might be a factory error until she found her in a 2001 catalogue!

Revealing all this info leads me to believe one thing, that the cutie mark given to Apple Pie was originally Apple Meadow's cutie mark; but something must've happened during Apple Meadow's development to discard her entirely.

What's your opinions on this theory?

Apple Meadow was 1 out of a set of 3 unreleased purse ponies. The other had a strawberry purse and the other an orange. I took some pics with my phone, but I need to find out where I put them on my PC...

As for the Holiday Twins. I have that one in a catalogue that I own. The ponies shown are actually Dart and Dash, but with a proto holiday set which eventually turned into Holiday at the Countryside/ Beach

I'm gonna guess the Strawberry one is named Strawberry Fields and the orange one is Orange Orchard!

I’m super happy to see this thread. :-) I was rediscovering collecting ponies when G2’s were just coming out, and I was moving to England that same year. I unfortunately didn’t get into collecting G2’s while in Europe, and still regret it to this day. I was in high school and was “too cool” for the new ponies and only collected the older ones. Now I am finding myself going back and picking up favorites that I remember seeing in stores during those years. I love the style of them, the glitter, the royalty, their cute babies. They’re so unique and different and really feminine. I’m a girly girl to the core and absolutely adore their charm. :love:

On a side note, does anyone know of a good site to gauge rarity/current value of the different ponies? I am in the US and as most of these are European exclusives, eBay does not offer a lot of insight because they’re not listed there. And unfortunately I don’t read the international versions of eBay very well. LOL Trying to figure out what the ponies are going for and what our fair price is for them. It is a struggle as a new collector

Oof, that sucks. And I agree with their femininity statement! And while I don't know of too many resources, I do know that there is a book with price recommendations. I, however, would be more than happy to help you with prices!
