Tinypic has Shut Down

I think we all may have found this out, but I just learned of it today. I just figured they cleaned their servers or something. Unfortunately we are past the date to download your images.
Other photo hosting options are Imgur, Flickr, Dropbox, Imgbb. Me and a few others use Tumblr sideblogs. I personally use Discord links quite often. Twitter links should be possible...

i think its also possible to use deviantart sta.sh or just deviantart itself? i've done it once or twice

RIP TinyPic, though to be frank it wasn't that great of an image hosting site anyway, so it's not like we lost a good service. If an image uploaded by someone without an account wasn't viewed for 90 days, they would delete it and then reuse the same URL for a new image (which would result in unintended images appearing places, I'm sure you can see how that could potentially be a big issue).

I'm pretty sure they deleted pics for other reasons, too - I remember a friend lost an image to Tinypic eating it, and I'm sure it hadn't been unviewed for 90 days (and there was no other apparent reason why they'd nix it). but yeah, they were awful for eating pics. I always tried to warn people away from using them for longterm image storage for that reason.

Still, good site or not, it's sad to see another site go. Been seeing their "sorry, Tinypic is dead" image around quite a bit in the last month or so

Yeah, the url reusing thing was especially an issue. I remember uploading an image there once and then some time later its url was reused for... something not safe for work, therefore embedding that image where I had posted my own. Can't say I'll miss this site too much to be honest, it could cause some real issues.
