Do you shut down your PC or laptop, or leave it on?

Throughout the day if I'm home and leave the room, I put it in sleep mode to save the screen. If I'm leaving the house or going to bed, I turn it off

Yes. I always shut down my work computer at 5pm. I always shut down my personal, home computer if I'm leaving the house, and just before bed.

I think it's silly to leave these things switched on as they're constantly drawing electricity. (Costing you money, and bad for the environment.)

Some people argue that they can't wait for their computer to boot up and/or run updates. However, in those situations I would advise saving up for a new computer as they are (probably) more energy efficient, and a solid state drive eliminates the boot up wait time.

If I'm out for more than an hour, I shut it down. Before I go to bed, I shut it down. If I'm out for a few minutes or at dinner, I run maintenance. But I leave it on most of the time during the day  as I'm often on it, if not always.

I shut it down, everytime I'm done with it. Even if that mean I'm going to restart it twice or more a day.
It's important for the computer and for the planet.

I never let any electronic in "sleep" mode, it's way too energivore.
