Sunfading a Sparkle Pony?

I recently got this Skyrocket, who's in pretty okay condition...except their former owner got carried away with the marker!

They've got lipstick and stars on one side. Not that the colors don't compliment the pony, but are Sparkle Ponies safe to sunfade? Do you think these marks will come out?

I would avoid sunfading as the sparkle ponies tend to go yellowed in ainlighth a

You could try hydrogen peroxide cream - test it on the underneath of a good first as I have no idea how it reacts to translucent plastic. But that would be me go-to product for fading out pen. You also have to put it in the sun by H202 does the opposite of yellowing in the sun - it’s often used to brighten up and restore plastics to their original colour.

I have sunfaded this one with success here in WI. I had one with pen allover the sides of her body. I wouldn't recommended any type of peroxide; sugarberry hair color may bleed, plus her tinsel...
Wrap up what you don't want faded and keep a good eye on her. You could always wrap in plastic wrap and cover areas you don't want faded with painters/masking tape too.

Yeah definitely don’t dunk her in hydrogen peroxide, if you do try it just use the cream so you can avoid the hair.

But great to know that one has been sunfaded successfully. I would try that first.

I'm not sure if this matters but there seems to be a difference in the plastic used for the store or the MO ones.

That might have an impact on sunfading.

Personally even here in the UK I've seen badly sunfaded sparkles. I think do with extreme care.

Using any chemicals on pony plastic is high risk as the long term effects of doing so are not known.

I personally think the stars look kind of cute. It's the lipstick that's more irksome.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I think I'll hold off sunfading for a bit to work on other ponies, but I will get around to it eventually! I won't use any chemicals or creams though!
