I really like G3s, I think they have some of the best color combinations among all the generations, and I think the sculpts are very cute too.

I would have to say mainly g1. I grew up with them and played with them alot. So I do have some neat memories. I still like them and they havent left the pony room much. I still enjoy them and its fun to dress them up. Or just brush their hair. They are the gen I will always love for their great themes. So many different types of ponies.:) I still like G3s and G4s and I do have some. Though I really lean towards G1.

G1, first because they are what I grew up with and second because of all the variety.  I also like how they look more like actual ponies than they get as time goes on.

In terms of collecting, I'm a G1 collector exclusively. I didn't grow up with them (well, kind of-my mums old bubbles, majesty and lemon drop got mixed in with my G3 collection when I was a kid) but I just think they're so beautiful, and unlike the G4 toys, they look like actual ponies.

I'll always have a soft spot for G3 though. I'd still have all my childhood G3 ponies now, but it was decided one day that I was too old for mlp and they were all thrown out against my wishes

I'm not sure tbh. I didn't really grow up with MLP my thing as a kid was LPS. I might have had a hand me down pony or 2 but nothing really sticks out in my memory. But I got into MLP when I discovered G3 around the same time as I got back into LPS because G2 LPS came out. I really feel I don't have much of a generational preference tho I do get more excited when I find a G1 or G2 in the wild just because they aren't as common.

I'm quite fond of G3 myself. I like their designs the best, and they were the ones that were around when I was growing up. I did really like G4, and still do, but I've been feeling... fatigued of them lately?

My favorite is G3, but I feel like I divide my attention most between G3 and G4.

I like to keep my pony blog mostly G3 centered but I watch Friendship is Magic and love the G4 characters/make up stories about them/cosplay them more often than the other generations! I just feel like since Friendship is Magic has the most characterization and world building and stuff (in my opinion), it's easiest to be a part of the G4 "fandom". Especially since it's the current generation.

I also try to give G1 and 2 as much love as possible but the latter generations take over my life more!

Generation 3 is definitely my favorite. I grew up with G3 and have ponies that come from the very beginning of the line to the end from my childhood collection. Looking at them reminds me of my childhood and all the stories I came up with :). I also LOVE the variety in the line as well with all the colors and poses! They all have a lot of personality. Generation 1 is my second favorite because of their design and variety as well.

My favorite generation was, is and will always be G1! These came out when I was a little girl and Snuzzle was my 1st pony, which is why G1 is so dear to me. I do, however, have a small herd of G3 newborns and just today got my 1st Breezy.

G1, most definitely.  I have a few of each of the other gens, but I don't collect them.  I try to like G3 more than I do, because they have some great colors, but the heads are too big for my taste--and they don't have symbols on both sides.  G4s just look strange, in my opinion.  And G2...well, G2 is just different.  I don't hate them, but they don't really seem like MLP to me, after growing up with G1.

I used to collect gen4 religiously but then gave in to my love for gen1 ! I collect gen1 now, I love it because it's the gen I grew up with (my sisters' handmedown ponies and watching the cartoon), so it makes me nostalgic.
