The line is ending and I want to know what was the number one draw to you when it comes to collectability? Everyone gets 3 votes.
For me it was old mould brushables, CMC and Equestria Girls minis. What was your G4 fave?

Original mold brushables, of course :) Then EQG grew on me surprisingly quickly, and I love blind bags. Still annoyed we never got the last couple of waves over here >_<

What do I think will be considered Collectibles?

Anything with a decent gimmick. So the Pearlies, Fashion Styles, Guardians of Harmony, and Water Cuties would definitely be up there, they're quite popular, and of course, non main sux figures that aren't bb/moulded, like Haven Bay, Queen Novo, Sandbar, Lulu Luck, Princess Sterling, Holly Dash, Blossomforth etc.

I imagine the build a bears would be as well, given that Build-a-Bear plushies are higher quality then Hasbro's.

Other then the fact that I personally like the underrated Magic Scenery and recent Mishmash Set, (pity they were limited to M6) most of this gen is garbage.

New characters with interesting designs being consigned to Blind Bags or expensive playsets, the quality control is utter crap, the obsession with pushing  a handful of characters ad naseum was tedious and infuriating, some of the unique gimmicks were sucky and ugly, the reboots are even more hideous in terms of sculpt, the poses are dull, and the distribution was dreadful.

My most liked of this gen are:

Water Cuties, they're what finally made me start adding this gen to my collection. The gimmick is unique and they had a few other characters.

Pearlies, they are a classic gimmick and very lovely. Shame about the distribution.

Merponies, I don't like this breed of pony usually, but the babies are cute and the unique adults are a big want.

Magical Scenery- I just plain like the gimmick. Pity there weren't any non-main characters.

I like the idea of the Mishmash. They finally look like Ponies again. I reeeally want Pearly Twilight and about half of the boxed set.

I'm mostly just interested in the brushable toys, any mould. Blind bags were fun, too!

Blind Bags tired me out! I actually really enjoy the Cutie Mark Crew, and am interested in buying some of the new boring wave to customize.  :P
Of course, I'm still biggest on the actual brushables. As oversaturated as they are, they're cute. I actually like the new molds a lot, too.

Old and new style brushables, but not so much the new ones. I don’t quite like the new style as much as the old style, but I’ll take it. And figurines, plush, blind bag...I pretty much tried to collect as much as I could, with the exception of Equestria girls. Not any of those I’m afraid.

Guardians of Harmony were made by Hasbro, weren't they? I don't think they were licensed.

My favorites were the doomed, short-lived smaller lines - EqG Minis, Hasbro Pop!, and Guardians of Harmony. I wish we'd gotten more of all of them :(

Man... I felt kinda depressed when I looked at this list and realized the original mold brushables are the only thing I really considered fun to collect. No wonder I'm not much of a modern collector anymore! Don't get me wrong, I have some of the comics and quite a few blind bags, but as tailrustedtealeaf said, it just gets very tiring after a while. I dunno why, the bling bags do have a lot of different molds and we get a LOT of show characters... I guess they just feel cheap?

As a collector, I don't get a lot of pride looking at a pile of blind bag figures the way I do when I look at my brushables collection. I mean heck some of the pegasi are just earth pony molds with folded wings painted on the sides.... -_-

And once we switched from the original brushable molds to those bulb-headed new molds, I just stopped collecting altogether.

I'm eager to see what the new gen will bring! I wouldn't mind if they are that style we saw with SDCC Twilight and the retro Mane 6! Anything that actually looks like round little ponies would be great!
Thank you Thimble for my amazingly cute avatar!

Brushables, old style, non m6.

Eqg. Again mostly non m6. Special emphasis on Sunset Shimmer.

Figures that were more show-like than others, so Funko (regular colors) and blind bags, but only if the pose was unique, like in the sets. It took a while, but I finally warmed up to brushables. And for somebody who said he'd never collect EQG, the seven minis staring at me from the desk are calling me a liar.

I liked the original brushables after I watched the show... especially any that were not main 6.  But I think I was collecting the blind bags way before I saw the show. There is just something about a teeny tiny pony that I can't resist.  I have huge handfuls of them.  My favorites are on display.

The old style brushables are an absolute classic for me, since they were my favorite toys in lower school. I still hope to one day have all of the ones no one bought for me as a kid.

You gave me one too few votes. XD My favorites... Hmm, it’s a tie between the original brushables (esp. the princess molds), the blind bags, and EQG dolls. However, GoH is also pretty well tied, since it finally introduced more villain characters... Not to mention Funko, who gave us an epic Discord, perfectly to scale with the brushables... This question is too hard! XD

I have to say, although I don't like the new moulds as standard, the small figure for Spitfire and the Fashion Style for Luna that's actually dark blue are both winners in my view.
