I think it would depend on the following things:

Dressed or not.
What outfit if dressed in Jem wear (since some are stupid prices)
What edition of the doll (2nd edition dolls for the Holograms tend to be more sought after.).

I haven't bought or sold Jem stuff in a long time so I can't be really specific with prices but probably stuff you need to think about.

Also functionally whether they have legs and arms that still snap into place or not...

Yeah. Instead of having joints in the sense of separate pieces of plastic put together, the Jem dolls' arms and legs bend through something inside the limb...it clicks into place (three clicks to bend completely and three clicks to straighten). But this often wears out, it's quite common to find dolls with one or more limb that will no longer hold a pose.

Hands can also break...but they're not too bad unless the doll is Mexican. Mexican Jem hands break pretty much if you look at them wrong :/

 I'm so glad you told me about that unfortunate defect.
