Lady Frostbite:
I watched a LOT of cartoons on video (VHS) when younger, apparently that was my babysitter  Anyway, I watched a lot of stuff that's public domain, and only just remembering some of it. Here's some I do remember and HAVE managed to name and track down:

1. Various shorts from the Censored Eleven
2. Very early Tom and Jerry (unsurprising as I watched a LOT of Tom and Jerry)
3. Rankin and Bass' Robinson Crusoe (remembered from the video cover. Has ... QUESTIONABLE lines)
4. Felix shorts, Golden Goose/King Cole (THAT SCARED ME)/Neptune
5. A 1932 short featuring a Puss in Boots character and a giant that could snap his toes like fingers, I forgot the name

I'm trying to remember a very old short that had toys takling part in a football match, but Google isn't helping. I THINK I remember a Betty Boop short, but it's not coming to me easily.

What are some shorts YOU remember?

I had a bunch of Merry Melodies on VHS that I watched a lot when I was a kid. The ones that stick in my mind are a version of The Ugly Duckling with Daffy (I think) and there's no talking, just music. One with some squirrels playing Robin Hood in the forest and a fox that's trying to eat them. Porky Pig in Mexico during a bull fight was one too.

I also had some Mickey Mouse on VHS including one where he tries to kill the pests in his garden only to poison himself and has a dream he's the size of a bug. That was a favorite of mine.

I really hated the classic animations (or at least the VHS tapes that I personally owned), so I don't remember many of them.

but I do remember these, even tho I hated them..

there were some goldenbooks VHS I recall liking...

not animation. not classic. but "baby sitter" reminds me of "videositter" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuUDDllCsRE

I still love Looney Tunes. :lovey:

I remember the cartoon about the squirrels playing Robin Hood in the forest.

I still remember watching "Christmas Comes but Once a Year"

And "I'll see you Somewhere in Dreamland"

Pigs in a Polka

I loved Tom & Jerry when I was little, I remember I had a double VHS with hours of Tom & Jerry on it and I adored it! I also watched Looney Tunes, I especially remember Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries.

Hope you can ID more of the cartoons you remember. I have loads of vague memories of cartoons and no idea what they were, it's very frustrating!
