Almost all of the G3 babies were released as some combination of store exclusive, country exclusive, and/or only sold with other ponies/playsets, so they are a little harder to come by secondhand. That said, the babies don't seem to be very popular in general, so they aren't often super expensive when they do come up for sale.

The only exceptions would probably be the xmas/winter babies: Northern Lights and Winter Ice, and to a somewhat lesser extent, Ribbons & Bows and Jingle Jangle. They have the double price-bump of being seasonal store exclusives, so they often go for more than the others.

Mochanut and Honolulu (or Honolu-loo if you must) are also a bit more special than the rest, since they're the only two pegasus babies -- although Mochanut is more of a "tween" than a baby. They both have a unique mold, but whether or not you like the G3 baby pegasus molds is of course up to you. ;)

Welcome to G3 collecting! (One of us! One of us!)

There are also plenty of stunning and unique common ponies as well.

Oh my goodness - yes! I think the lovely colours and symbol combinations are what caught me to begin with, and (confession time) I have bought a couple of lots so my thread has been partly researching whether I had obtained anything of particular interest, too :)

The trouble is, is because there are so many pretty ponies, I'm gonna have trouble stopping now that I'm on a roll

Great info, too, BlushingBlue, re the babies, thanks! Jingle Jangle happens to be one that I got, so that's pretty exciting :)

I can't wait to get my new ponies on hand  :lookround:

G3 is what got me into ponies in the first place and it was downhill into g1 but let me tell you g3 is so fun with the bright colors and not all just pinks. Super fun to style. :D Is there anyone in particular you are looking for?

Aren't Lickety-split and Sweetberry uncommon too?

I agree that Lickety split is semi HTF ( maybe $5-10). As far as Sweetberry goes ( if I am thinking of the right one) goes for around $5ish loose on eBay. But please someone let me know if this is wrong :)

Maybe you were thinking of Pepperberry? ;) She has a couple similarities with Sweetberry, but Pepperberry was a KB exclusive so she's more HTF.

Actually I see Pepperberry pop up a fair bit. Could depend on where one lives in the world?

Well, it doesn't take much to be more HTF than Sweetberry. ;) But yeah, I think "could depend on where one lives in the world" might be the answer to all questions of rarity. KB Toys was in the process of shuttering a lot of its locations back then, so for me to get Pepperberry and other KB exclusives, I had to travel like 90 minutes to the last store left in my state. I'm sure that had an effect on my perception of her!

Pepperberry is certainly htf here as she didn't make it over.

I think I'm right that Lickity Split had more than one release whereas Portobella only had the one release? That's why she's more common?? I've definitely seen more Lickity Splits than Portobellas.

Yes, Lickety Split was also released in a playset...

Woo! I've missed a decent bit of pony chat! :D

but let me tell you g3 is so fun with the bright colors and not all just pinks. Super fun to style. :D Is there anyone in particular you are looking for?

Yes - I do like that there is some neat colour variety with G3 - definitely one of the things that attracted me to them  ^.^ ^.^  I don't think I have any in particular that I am looking for, though I would love to get all the unique winter and valentine ponies :)

It's funny, I've seen Pepperberry pop up quite a bit when I've been looking over ebay. But that has been just the US I've been glancing over.

2005, Butterfly Island, was the best year in my opinion! All of the early G3s have the best designs imo, but Butterfly Island introduced the Dazzle Bright ponies, like Kiwi Tart and Seaspray! They're so pretty in person!
