Childhood Brag

so, after years and years of mom fighting my sister, dad, and myself on closing out a storage unit that we had for OVER 20 years almost close to 30 years -I'm 34 to give an idea-, we finally were able to get into said unit this weekend.
we had a disappointing find in the way of child hood toys, even dad and the older sister remember there being a lot MORE in the way of at least ponies. we found a literal hand few of actual ponies and a couple fakies and some enchanted horses.

 a random cruella de vil toy
not pictured cause my older sis tool them home Nachlite Twilight rattles,tattles and cuddles those were her ponies she got to keep them

we saved them from being pitched by his uncle when he was clearing out their own parent's home, I didn't realize these got shoved in the storage unit though. they came home with me.

toy not pictured cause we think its in the sister's car: a DinoSaucer's toy it was the most random toy find
also never found: we apparently had the full collection of Popples that was made in Germany and my Lady Lovely Locks toys we only found Ravenhair's dress lol.

Aaaaand, the circus Lanards! I also have that pair from my childhood (I'm 35, so we must have gotten them around the same time ), the blue and white one was oe of my favourite childhood ponies from my whole collection, originals included it's nice to see someone has their twin sisters, still together

yeah i'm 34 so must have  been around the same day. i was happy to see how well these guys turned out. I ...honestly was expecting to throw them all out because of how deteriorated I thought they would be so i'm pretty darned shocked at that.

Dad confirmed that there should have been a giant toy box and THAT is missing, mom thinks they might have tossed it the last time they got in there to put stuff in the storage years and years back and never thought to check it. :/

It must have been so much fun going through all of your childhood toys after so long!  It's a shame there were not as many ponies as you remembered but at least there were some.  Congrats on rediscovering a piece of your childhood

That's a crazy story. So glad you got some childhood toys out of it, at least. Those Color Magic Pony fakies are cute!
