G1 - streaks on the outside/inside of manes/display side or other?

BBE Baby Gusty is a great example, her hair just doesn't want to sit right to display her lovely streak.
Boys like to have wild hair, yeah, that explains it....

yep i remember my bbe gusty the hair flopped/curled over the streak.

just got my steamer and slugger out and both (same pose) have the streak under the mane side

My Sunburst and Tornado both have their streaks underneath. Thundercloud's is on top.
Tex's hair has a bit of a reputation for being unruly. His streak's on top at the moment, but I think that's only because his hat is keeping it in place!

I've seen a lot of BBE unicorns with this issue . . . Something must have gone wonky with the rooting process.

Erm...I think that's a problem beyond which side the streak is on.

I had to post her since bbe Baby Gusty was mentioned.  I haven't been able to tame her hair back in to place.

I've seen a lot of BBE unicorns with this issue . . . Something must have gone wonky with the rooting process. 

I always wondered why my baby Gusty's mane ended up like this. Is there any way to make it lay flat again?

I’ve used boiling water to train the hair over to the correct side so that the streak is showing. Then wrap with kitchen roll and an elastic band til it’s dry.

I haven't used kitchen roll, but I had Sunburst's hair trained for two years  (I just left the band on in the cupboard after the water dried) and it still reverted back .

Yeah I’ve done the boiling water trick with a Sunburst and two Milky Ways and a Powder that I sold recently and it’s worked a treat! I don’t get why the coloured stripe went underneath the mane in the factory!
