ID this toyline?
« on: May 03, 2019, 03:14:23 AM »
I can’t rememember what this toy line is, and if anyone can help I know it’s you guys!

I think they are vintage, 80s/90s but could be later.
They are anthro animal families, like Sylvanians, but they are not flocked, and I think slightly smaller and a bit more cartoon-ish. The clothes would have been molded in the plastic. I think they had buildings as well.

I can’t find them on Ghost of the doll so does any one else have any ideas?

ETA: I'm fairly certain there were foxes in the line!

Oh this sounds familiar. were there like little monkeys and other jungle animals? And the buildings, did they have like swings, lifts, stuff like that? If I remember correctly they had something like that at my younger brother's preschool, late 90s (but they also had the g1 boardgames, so that doesn't speak for how new the toys were).

I think they were all regular woodland animals, and the buildings would have been more like simple houses made from tree stumps etc. I don’t think they were available in Sweden, or at least I’ve only seen them in pictures.

I was thinking something like Maple Town, but I don't know if those are flocked or not.

I'm guessing either Maple Town or Forest Families? :) Or maybe Teddy Bear Story, those are more obscure though.

Nope, Maple Town and Forest Families are both flocked.

Yes, know it’s very little to go on, I just don’t know how else to describe them, they are just “normal” woodland animals that stand on two legs and wear people clothes.

Seconding the idea that it might be Teeny Weeny Families.
Maybe Bluebird Toys Cheeky Mouse, Dottie Dog etc. (https://my80stoycollection.weebly.com/bluebird-toys.html)
Teddy in my Pocket were little plastic figures with clothes, but only bears, no other animals.
Teddy's Wonderland had little tiny bears, houses, furniture, but I don't really remember them wearing clothes.
There's a whole lot of Sylvanian-type families around, like Teacup Families, Forest Families, Bärenwald, San Jin Toys, but I'm pretty sure they're all flocked.

Do you remember if they had movable arms and legs?

Teeny Weeny Families are the closest so far, but it's not them, they are too small, and not detailed enough.
Thank you so much for the suggestion!

@Shaz, I don't think they had any joints, no!
