try living in NZ, basic fun doesn't care there

Has NZ had any Basic Fun releases at all?

In Basic Fun’s defense,  there isn’t a company ever created that didn’t want their products sold world wide.   It’s not like Basic Fun has just decided that they don’t want to sell to some countries.  There is so much involved in a company selling outside their own borders.  Laws and trade agreements and they have to find a store that’s willing to sell their products.  If a local store isn’t willing to sell Basic Fun products then it isn’t their fault that ponies aren’t readily available to everyone.

I do agree with you, but I guess I have this unshakeable feeling that some countries are not even a blip on Basic Fun's radar. Admittedly, this is coming from my own perspective as a person with limited access to the Basic Fun treasure trove. So I'm definitely not an objective voice, hah! I re-read my post and I do regret that it does sound a bit sulky. In spite of my frustration with the distribution blindspots, I am actually pleased for people who will be able to nab these as they arrive :)
its just that being in NZ feels like the far corner and unheard of country to alot of people still like we still run around in grass skirts living in huts :P
no seriously its frustrating and heartbreaking how much we miss out (and i know a little country can't catch them all since the 80s there were so many thing we never heard of) but when it comes to big brands and big companys Hasbro (which are or use to be in NZ) we are getting less and less pony stuff

anyways i shouldn't be the sulky one here, we did get 4 first wave rainbows from Cotton On as Cotton On exclusives and they lasted one week before selling out.

im still waiting for miracles and hoping i will be surprised someone will get them on there shelves

My only complaint is I wish basic fun would change up the box colours & illustrations on the back of the box for display purposes. It would be cool if each line (earth pony, unicorn/pegasus, rainbow) would have been a different colour!

I was most excited to get heart throb but she looks a lot more mauve than pink now so I may stick to my original!
I hope babies are next..

Same here with being neglected by Hasbro, although we got the collector's repro ponies randomly at Aldi's one day and for G4/G4.5, no new stuff despite restocking the exact same things.

i was wondering if you guys in Aus got any more 35th's, it will be interesting to see if any more pop up in the future. talk about being drip feed.

-i wish the packaging would be more interesting.
-  heart throb does look very faded and washed out  just like moonstone looked. my one's look much better so il be skipping that one.
- super excited to see how (or if) they do the babies and what they may come with in the way of accessories

That AJ is so vivid. If those came here I might be tempted. I don't have g3 AJ.

I found some at my Target this weekend! Might add pics later. They had Tickle, G3 Rainbow Dash, and G3 Applejack. I only left Flutters behind. I think Tickle was the last G1 there which means they must be selling good?

@Taffeta that AJ is better than her original g3 release, IMHO. Her colors just look better in this release :P

That's interesting, thanks for letting me know :)

My sister has the original one, she brought her back from Australia when she was over there (she used to play in a youth percussion group, they went touring there, and somehow she came back with a pony. Go figure) but I've never had one of my own. If the G3 retro do arrive in the UK I might make her a target.

I dunno if this is true over there, but literally every store that has Rainbows here has at least Tickle. The last time I was in JL she even has her own price tag, as opposed to 'rainbow pony' which is what it used to say.

She seems quite common here. The irony.

I have found when they first came out Fluttershy was the most difficult to track down, then when the unicorns were added now it's Starflower, only seen her in a store once in Sutton last month.

The hardest to find from each set here is:
Collectors: Cotton Candy
Rainbows 1: Star Shine
Earth Ponies 1: Bubbles
Unicorns: All of them
Pegasus: All of them
Rainbows 2:  Everyone except Trickles and Pinwheel

I have only seen the Bubbles and AJ set in one region of the UK, but I saw her in three stores vs Seashell in 2 and the rest in only 1. I guess we have all the Bubbles.

My Target had 3 Trickles left for the longest time.  Now they're down to one.  And I have to remind myself that I already have Trickles because I'm so tempted every time I see her.
