I've now seen not only the Pound Puppies, but also the Pound Puppy Newborns!  I've seen the Newborns in two different styles of display:  one where they are not in individual boxes, but are in an overall box that I think was made to look like a fenced in pen.  The other was individual boxes for each pup, in the same style as the adult dogs.  (Saw the individual boxes at a Target and the pen style at a toy store in Spokane.)

I got Glory today after ordering her online. I couldn't find her or any of her set in stores. Did I miss them or did my area just not get them? I can find the collector set and two from the rainbows...

I think their distribution is patchy at the moment. I have seen the unipegs in 2 toymaster stores but not in others. But I imagine they will be more available up to Christmas here.

The UK seems to have stocked rainbows first so unipegs are the newest release here. I forget when Glitterball first found them but I picked them up in mid July...they had a lot on the shelves. Smyths had them on the website and Argos have them in the autumn catalogue so I think it's just they aren't widely distributed yet.

Amazon finally has them properly in stock at retail prices, too, which is a good sign.

I was out of town yesterday and we stopped at a Target! They had some ponies back on the end cap!~ But the crazy thing is they no longer have a spot for the other ponies anymore. There are no more ponies in that store but these retro ones!?

I saw the newborn pound puppies too--so cute! My closest Target finally has the rainbow ponies (Trickles, etc.), but no Starflower or Pinwheel yet. Hope they show up soon!

I haven't seen any large Pound Puppies at our Target, but I did buy three different types of newborns. One for each of my kids and my niece. No rainbow ponies yet, just the sets with the sitting ponies.

The Pound Puppies surprised me since I seem to recall they had a reboot not that long ago and looked pretty true to the original- but I don't know that they were overly popular.

I hope the classic style ponies continue to fly off the shelves, they seem to be selling very steadily

They did and it annoyed me because they clearanced them out so quickly I never got one :(

Just saw an article where the Basic Fun CEO talked about the effects of the US-China tariffs (upcoming in December) on production.

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/08/30/basic-fun-ceo-jay-foreman-to-keep-production-in-china-despite-trump.html?fbclid=IwAR0j96HBp4i2h2-ml1iimOn30W1zaIOsvxtuKoC3KRTqCB7suRQXcexQCB8

I encourage everyone to watch the video clip as well as reading the article.  It's only 7 minutes long and is very informative. It lays out the struggles that small / medium business in general are going to face with the tariffs and specifically the struggles of Basic Fun, which of course are relevant to anyone collecting the retros.
