I didn't have much interest in these, and couldn't find them in any shops around where I live, so didn't give them a lot of thought.
Until I was out of town on Sunday and saw them in real life. Now I think I'll be getting a few. I might even keep them MIB because they would look so good on my shelf where I used to keep my dolls.

Thing is, they do seem rather pricey...

The cheapest price I've seen here for them is Smyths, which is £8.99. They're meant to get the unipeg set but right now (at least ours) only has a ton of CPs.

Otherwise general rule is classics (unipeg, collector) are £9.99 and rainbows are £12.99 :/

Almost all the Tickles are gone from my JL. Either someone really liked Tickle or a ponyperson visited my town xD.

I can't find them in my JL. Though when I saw them yesterday they weren't with the G4 ponies, and had their own section. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. It seems stupid to buy them online and pay for delivery when I live in a city centre

Might be worth giving your local argos a look. The catalogue says unicorns but mine are still on collectors pose (I checked yesterday). They're selling them singularly for £10 but they're included in the 2 for £15 so might be worth asking if they have more than just one pony available. Might be a cheaper way of getting them.

I hate to say it but there's an easy reason for no Skyflier or Powder, they're in a very little used mold. Everyone else is in a mold already utilised.

I know we've had Bubbles and Seashell but it could be they've thought there's more novelty value with them than making another unicorn mold.

Man oh man, if Surprise has silky hair I am going to be SO PUMPED.  I love the original but her hair is always a little coarse.  (Maybe something about the curling process?  If so, I hope hair-curling technology has improved since the 80s, lol.)

So like, a curling iron you can set digitally through an app?

I haven't been too excited about most of the retro ponies so far but.... Heartthrob is coming to the UK!! My girlfriend wanted Heartthrob so bad when she was little. She used to pretend her spare Peachy was her!

I wonder if they'll do a set with Ribbon in it....

She obviously feels the way I felt about Medley ;)
It is the first set they're doing where the originals are curly haired.
It will be interesting to see how they handle it, because 3/4 named ponies originally had curls.

I would buy the pose thing except that Bubbles and Seashell happened. But it may take longer because they haven't got those moulds at present, they should have the others.

IF Pinwheel and Starflower ever materialise of course. I noticed they weren't included in that list.

I believe they described the 2nd set of Rainbows as "Confetti, Trickles, Tickle, and Flutterbye" in the message, so maybe they just didn't mention Powder and Skyflier for the sake of brevity?

Powder and Skyflier are my favorite unicorns from that year, but if they aren't released, they aren't released . . . Maybe they're changing their business model to "four ponies per set" or something, who knows.  Or maybe Powder and Skyflier will get a late release, like Starflower and Pinwheel.

Maybe it has some business advantage or something? Like maybe Target etc want more per box of the ponies they think will be most popular . . . and then halfway through the set's run, Basic Fun is allowed to change it to "one of each pony per box" to get the full set out there.   (This is all speculation of course, it's also possible they had some unexpected problem with the Pinwheel mold and had to redo it.)
