35 Anniversary Collectors ponies - Thread 3!

I recently made a start on increasing my Butterscotch collection, & got 25th (falls over so I call her Topplescotch) an Italian (the pale-haired one I call Buttercream) & this 35th one. Her hair is a bright golden yellow rather than the golden brown of the original so I call her Goldenscotch.

Made the trip into my closest Target yesterday.  They had the 2nd set of rainbows so I was able to get Confetti (finally) since she was the only one I was missing from that set.  They also had one Seashell, 1 G3 Pinkie and 3 G3 Applejacks.

I wasn't that excited when my Bluebelle arrived but I just de-boxed her and I'm really pleased. I've never de-boxed a pony before. Her hair is such a pretty and different shade that she looks like a variant. I made the box into a display stand by cutting it up and taping something underneath to make it stand. I may even put the poster up.  I will keep the others in boxes though.

The company that makes these also made World's Smallest G1 Transformers and they actually included a "backcard" like they did for the Hot Wheels. I wish they had done that for the ponies.

The company that makes these also made World's Smallest G1 Transformers and they actually included a "backcard" like they did for the Hot Wheels. I wish they had done that for the ponies.

That would have rocked!!! I want backcards for the HQ Ponies as well

I'm kind of obsessed with these 35th anniversary reproduction ponies right now. It means so much to me to be able to buy beautiful  new "G1s" at a great price. I was finally able to add Minty to my collection, a pony I've  wanted since I was a little girl. I've also bought Bluebelle, Snuzzle, Bowtie, and two Pinwheels. I hope  to get more soon.

My Target did away with the Basic Fun endcap.  The pound puppies and ponies are gone!  I couldn't even find them on clearance anywhere.  Hope that doesn't mean I won't get a new Gusty.

I think they might just had been sold out and it will be sometime before any more shipments from China come in.  I’ve noticed that my Target is moving things around to fill up empty space.

My Target took the retro end cap down only to move it a few isles down.  Maybe that is what is happening?

We are nearing the end of the first quarter, perhaps they just have new planograms for Spring.
Last I went we still had plenty of G3 and Flutterbyes.

I will admit that I was just a teensy bit disappointed that Starflower did not have the pink color shift-glitter that Flutterbye and Confetti had.

But getting a Starflower whose glitter wasn't bleeding into her flank?  Still a top notch experience.
