Fifi was one of the first ponies I bought when I started collecting as an adult. I would absolutely LOVE to have her playset! I have around 70% of the accessories, lol, but not the shell. Probably a good thing. The size of it would cost a bomb to ship to where I live!

I think she's charming in her simplicity, but probably one of the least interesting TAF designs. It doesn't feel like a lot of thought went into her, further intensified by the fact that they reused the name Fifi just a year after the first one, and even the same year FT Baby Fifi was released. Interestingly they use the same basic colors, but it's hard to think of them as the same character.

Her Perm Shoppe felt like the last great classic playset with a lot of cute details and space to play around in (not counting later recolors of Show Stable/Dream Castle).

Judging by this prototype, it looks like her ribbons symbol was meant to be more than a single color at some point (pink and yellow with black outlines). Not sure if that would've been an improvement.

Well, I'm pretty sure they're meant to be separate. Just like Twilight the unicorn and Twilight the pegasus. And they may use the same colors, but those colors are arranged rather differently!

I would guess that somebody on the design team must have had Fifi as their brain's default choice for a female French name.
