Any other web designers/developers here?

So I've been working on websites both as a hobby an then as a job for close almost 20 years now. Since college. Really I just like to build stuff and i'm not good at building real stuff so i build virtual stuff.  I mostly write code. I love designing websites but I don't consider myself a designer. I'm a developer who also designs when necessary.

I'm interested in learning if there are other designer/developers here. What tools do you use? What do you like to build? Are you working on anything cool right now?

I pretty much use Vue for my personal projects.  I also use React.  I really like both   I love writing CSS and have been using Scss for a long time. I also write PHP because I build WordPress and Laravel sites. I'm trying to learn Python and Ruby this year because I want to be more employable as a Fullstack developer.

I love building sites with Vue or React.  I used to love WordPress but we are on a break right now.

I haven't done any of that since college but I actually liked writing up code in good old notepad.

We did use dreamweaver...but I didn't like it >>  Call me oldschool ^^'

While I did do coding I actually liked the design part of things then figuring out how to make it work

I know Kiwi is in about the same boat as me but she did keep up with coding after I stopped.  I believe its just her personal projects though

Yeah I tried Dreamweaver and hated it too.  Coding in Notepad or Text Editors is much better.  Though VSCode is awesome.

The figuring out how to make something work is my favorite part.  Especially designing something and then challenging myself to make it real.

I used to make sites back in the day when writing html code was simple. I was more about the aesthetics of design though... Which why today I'm a designer (with art). Although I know the basics if I ever need an online portfolio.
