I die game over.I don't know why exactly that is happening to you, but there is an easy solution to lack of HDMI ports on a TV. You can get something called an HDMI splitter/switch. You can get them for pretty cheap. I don't know what stores you have around you, but I've seen them at Walmart.I got one from RadioShack many years ago. It is a necessity.
