If you were to get a tattoo of any pony symbol, which one would it be?

I saw someone get some G1 pony tattoos on Instagram and it got me thinking...what would make a good pony tattoo? I love the G1 artwork and the tattoos I saw were incredibly well done, but I don’t know if I would want to get a whole pony tattooed.

Pony symbols could be a good alternative - it wouldn’t be obvious what the tattoo was relating to unless you were a collector but not would be a cute homage to pony collecting!

My favourite pony is Starglow but her symbol of a piano and candlestick doesn’t really relate to me at all (I’m not musical in the slightest), so ...I’m not sure how good a tattoo it would make. But it got me thinking - what pony symbols would work well as tattoos, and which ones wouldn’t?

Also, I would love to see any pony tattoos you have!

My original plan was actually just to get a cutie mark tattoo! I was going to get Sparkleworks’ cutie mark on my upper arm since she was my first pony and I do love fireworks. Somehow I ended up with two full ponies though, I didn’t have that much self control to stay subtle. Sparkleworks and her cutie mark are there though! i’ll try and get a good healed picture of it soon! It’s not quite as vivid as it was when it was fresh, but I still love it!

I think a lot of the G3 symbols would make neat tattoos! They’re detailed enough to be interesting on their own, even to people who don’t know anything about mlp.
I think the only symbols that wouldn’t really work as tattoos are the original 6. Especially cotton candy, a patch of white spots really wouldn’t look too good imo.

ETA: Here is mine! As you can see Sparkleworks' cutie mark is still there...just with lots and lots of other details!

I think Pinkie Pie's for sure. I know the collector community's opinion of her as the annoyingly prevalent G4 toy, but she was my first G3 growing up. I have such fond memories of playing with her in her hot air balloon. And then when I got into FiM she became my favorite character. I love her bouncy hair and how fun and goofy she is. She will always be a special pony for me.
(Plus, her cutie mark is classic and cute imo. Would make a good tattoo.)

I much prefer G1 symbols to G3 because they are simpler and more ‘retro’ looking but yeah...white blobs would be taking simplicity a bit too far!

This is my most favourite question ever! I wanted to get G4 ratity ‘s cutie mark with a needle and thread through the Diamonds with generosity written under them. Or a small pastel windwistler on my wrist or an all black kirin with a rainbow above it with the text sometimes you gotta let itrain. I know these aren’t all cutie Marks but tattoos and ponies are a match made in heaven. 😍😍😍😍

g3 or g4 star swirl would work too, quite abstract... baby ribbons n hearts, too... thinking of all the heart themed ponies

She's a TAF but probably Nightglider. Been debating on getting a tattoo related to her for awhile now

At one point I had a whole G1 Sleeve all planned out based on back card art and books.
The older I've gotten the less I'm keen on having anything branded tattooed to me.
If I were to get a symbol tattoo my top 3 G1 themed would be Masquerade, Melody or maybe speedy. G3 a few fun ones would be Anchors Away, JazzMatazz or Boogie Woogie

I did end up with a crochet tattoo though!  Warning this is a fresh photo I don't have a healed photo on hand. So my skin looks a bit angry!

I can't really imagine myself getting a tattoo but if I were to have one, it would probably be Wind Whistler related, or something inspired by Rescue at Midnight Castle since it had a lot of cool imagery.
