LOL he simply listed MIP Rapunzel as QUEEN. I mean, I guess it is fitting

I saw that too! I actually messaged him to let him know that he might want to include her name in his listing (and explained that she's super rare and sought after). Either way, she's going to sell for a ridiculous amount I'm sure.

With discussions like this and the attention the last wave got, I imagine people will find her.

It's been a long time since there was last a MIP Punzie on ebay. Dread to think how that's going to end up.

...And there's Sugarcake. *dies*

Although actually I don't like things mint in bag. Cards are pretty. SO are boxes. Bags are annoying. So I'll just remind myself that she's so sealed and thus I really am NOT interested.

There are still eight or nine auctions missing for me when I load on co.uk but they show up on .com.

I also don't like Mint in Bag.

I can't imagine how it could be nicely displayed.

I'm not very interested in mint in bag ponies, either. They're kinda ugly? While on the other hand, boxes and cards are just so beautiful...

I guess it's a way to know for sure you have a pristine pony with the right accessories. But yeah. I have a baby Nightcap who is sealed in bag (it seems to be a UK thing) and I've left her like that because I don't open MIP and it's weird she's in bag when she wasn't sold that way originally, but seriously, it's annoying trying to store her.

WOW MIB Rapunzel is already over $400. I wonder how high she'll go?

I also don't like mint in bag toys unless they're Happy Meal toys.

As pretty as these all are, I don't think I could ever bring myself to buy any original G1s still in the box.  Partially because of the price but mostly because I wouldn't be able to stand them being trapped in there and I would have to free them.  So it's just better if I don't.   :P

I agree and would have the same problem. Must free the pony..... but it is fun to look at all those MIB ponies and the variety of box art and packaging.

I've never seen anything like this O_O Is someone keeping track of what ones are were there? Or is this actually the whole set?
I might want to bid, but I live in Canada and the shipping is crazy. I would want to email about that, but I might get banned?

You aren't going to be banned for asking about shipping.

He was asking people not to send him irrelevant long winded posts,.or be general time wasters.

I've been keeping records of which ones are coming up - I like to keep info like the price labels :) So I've got an excel file going.

I don't think I posted here but the first lot of auctions went for $23,595! of course I don't know about non-paying bidders but that figure is the hammer price.

We will probably annoy him less if we pool generally learnt information here.

For what it's worth he combines on shipping, even internationally.

@Chrissytree - your data gathering as ever is awesome. :) But as a record of this kind of unusual event, it's great to have.

That is a crazy amount. But I wonder how much was lost to npb trolls :/ Still, I bet it's a lot more than was paid for the storage unit.

It really highlights how few there were,, in comparison to the quantities of toys now...

I don't think there were few, not really. Given how many exist second hand, and still turn up even this long after the event in some places. Maybe compared with now there'd be fewer, but in general I think there were quite a lot produced.

The prices happen because of the nature of the find and the scarcity of some MIP items. But that's because this wasn't a deliberate collectable, thus in pack items are already rarer. And because a lot of people deboxed when ponies were cheaper in package. And that has an impact on supply and demand now.
