The regular birthflower ponies are extremely boring to me. They couldn't change the hair colour? Why would the daffodil pony not have any yellow on her?

Alternate March Daffodil is nice, I like the blue and yellow together.

I love Daffodils!  I wish they grew here.  I wouldn’t mind getting her at all.

I would like the full set but I think I might only get februari because it’s my birthmonth.

Daffodils are some of my favorite flowers, so I feel lucky to be a March baby.

I have the MO version, thanks to my mom. I'd love to have the alternate too, but that's not very realistic.

I have the white one. I don't have the alt one. I feel like the white ones are a clone army. But the others are too expensive to go after so unless one took a random unexpected trip to the UK and showed up at a second hand sale undetected, I'm going to stick with just the one for my month sadly

Also, she really should have been the POTD for last friday, 1st March - St David's Day in Wales, of which the floral emblem is the daffodil

I guess there needs to be customizers willing to do the alternates of these girls. They are a pretty set I do have this one this is my niece's birthday month.

to each their own I wouldnt mind it because its way cheaper than owing the real deal. I was very lucky I have the alternate september.

I selected "army" because I have three - one standard pink/white March, one Alternate March (loose), and Alternate March MOC (horizontal Scandinavian card). More like a mini army, sorry

Finding her loose took forever, she was actually the second-last pony I needed to complete the set, and I had been looking for her loose for aaaaages.  Isn't she pretty?

As for my MOC Alt March, she was a sad and sorry story from my collecting youth.  And by youth I mean a few years ago, but I was much a less experienced collector back then ((coughnaivestupidoverexcitedbadcombinationuh-oh)).  I didn't pay close enough attention to the photos in the listing, and had been foolishly enticed by the fact that the seller stated in the description that the discoloration was "slight".  It wasn't.  I thought the discoloration was more of the bubble's plastic.  It wasn't.  I paid WAAAAAY too much for her.  The seller kinda sucked for downplaying the damage so much, but it was entirely on me for not being more careful and thorough when inspecting the pictures.  I can't find the photos I took showing the severity of the damage, alas.  But if I can dig her out from storage, I'll take some pics and share them.

This was one of the images from the original listing.  Look at the discolouration of her hooves near her tail - that's the colour she is on the DS - her WHOLE display side.  She's still white on the non-display side.  Ugh, I can't believe I didn't see that before.

Yeah, it's personal opinion. I'm very old school on this. No fakies. No replicas, no rehairs.

I feel like collecting them means collecting them, not getting them made to order. That's something different and it's entirely fine to do that - but it's not my preference. I'd rather have gaps than fakes in my collection. To me you can make ten customs of a rare pony but it will never mean you have that pony, so it's a waste of time and effort (and possibly money) that could be saved for the real thing.

But as I said, I'm old school. I think I'm influenced from a time when ponies were common and cheaper and easier to get. Now it's a different market and people make different decisions based on that. I'm not judging those decisions, so long as the replicas can't be mistaken for real things. They're just not for me.

I have the alt Feb. And that's my month, so if that's the only one I ever have, then that's fine. I don't have that many rare gaps in my collection because of being around at that time when ponies were cheaper, plentiful and so on - I expect if I had come to collecting G1 later, I would have either a much smaller collection or a different point of view. :/
