what is your opinion on pony wear?

I see lots and lots of pony wear everyday, which I love. what's your opinion? Do you collect pony wear? mib? loose? or do you derspise everything of it? And form which generation? Do you make it, or design it? I'm currently showing interest in g1 pony wear but I haven't figured out how to sew it from them yet.

Please let me know what you think.

I really love it too, I think the G1 outfits are really creative. Some are almost iconic like Flashprance :-)

I love pony wear. I have some sets completed, but am missing a lot overall.
Always debate if I should display... I have a ton of Lemon Drops and they might get dressed up someday...

I think the concept is adorable but to be honest I don't think most of the outfits look very good.  A lot of them have a big bulgy strip of velcro across the back and it kind of ruins the silhouette / look. (I get why they put it there, though . . . that's the easiest place for tiny child hands to access.)

I think Great Skates is the best outfit.  It avoids the velcro problem and the skates REALLY WORK!  It looks great and even adds a new play feature.  Pony Royal is another great set.  I wanted it very badly as a kid, but then my sister made me a royal pony cape that was even better, lol.

My other favorites are Flashprance, From the Designer Collection, and Hearts & Candy.  I also loved the baby dragon outfit and sundress outfits as a kid (the only two I had.)

I love ponywear in theory but am so bad with collecting accessories in practice. I'd love to learn how to make some, but as my sewing machine is going to be handed off to my siblings I'll have even less opportunity to actually use it.
Hearts & Candy is my favorite but I do not have it yet.

I love pony wear. G1 is my favorite as they are fabric. I make my own pony wear because I love knitting. Always up for trades. I can not do anything MIB because I want to play with it:) I appreciate all pony wear.

I love it!  I only actively collect it MOC but if I happen to get a loose set I just stick it on a baity CP or whichever pony is shown wearing it on the box, and display it. 

But I have a problem with the Hearts & Candy necklace.  I MUST HAVE ALL OF THEM.  The more the better!

I remember buying the G1 ponywear when I was a kid, my first one was the ballet/tutu/pink + white striped leotard one, then the yellow and cerise bikini, then the lilac party dress and I think I had one with leg warmers - I forget!

Oh - then there was my Confetti pony that came in her wedding outfit - I adored that!

It was always a big thing for me to choose - pony or ponywear? I remember it was a little heavy on the pocket-money so I had to wait a few weeks to afford both! Along with my Jem and MLP comics, too 

Anyway, my opinion:
super fun during my childhood to dress my ponies up, so Hasbro succeeded there.
As an adult - hmm, not really my favourite thing, but still charming (especially the shoes!)

I had a few outfits as a kid. UK had fewer than the US although towards the end of ponywear we just got US imports so had cards with Crumpet and stuff on which were confusing...

Anyway.

I played with it a lot as a kid, mine got kind of wrecked.

I have a lot of loose ponywear. Most of it is complete. I have it like that thanks mostly to a person here who had a whole box of it that filled almost all my UK gaps in one go...this from a carboot sale years back. I like it MOC though because I like the cards. But I try if it has a UK release to get the UK one, for obvious reasons.

I really don't like megan and sundance and yet I really like Megan and Sundance Ponywear. Go figure. I have four I think on card and the other two loose and complete except for one red ribbon. They weren't sold in the UK, but I like them

It's sometimes easier to get the US ones MOC because finding loose bits is more expensive. So I have Pageant Queen and a couple of the mum and baby sets. I also have a few on Italian cards just because I'm also a card geek and they were there O.o. One is a mum and baby wear set, another couple are flashprance and something I think...

So I like ponywear. But it is pretty impractical.

I am not so keen on later gen ponywear. Some of G2 is cute or ok. Some of G3 likewise. Nothing from G4 inspires me.

I made a graduation cap and gown for G3 Rainbow Dash before my (first) uni graduation which was in 2003. She came as my mascot because Windy was my first pony and Dash to me seemed like a Rainbow Pony I still have it somewhere.

I also used to knit scarves and legwarmers for my ponies for when they came on walks with us when I was a kid.

I made a lot more Jem clothing than pony stuff though :/

I like it in theory.  I don't want to stain ponies so I am worried about using it.  I could use my poor condition ponies to model it, I guess. 

I do have a LOT of it... I got a huge boxful in a MLP lot I bought years ago, I sorted it into little baggies, and then I have not done a THING with it. 

Does it hold much resale value?
