wow my discoloured starshine air freshener is now white again
shabbychicdee:
That's what i call the scented 35th Anniversary ponies
my daughters bedroom smells like strawberry's thanks to Parasol and mine smells like coconuts (and tanning spray) thanks to starshine
anyways..
 sorry if this is old news but i do believe the discoloured scented 35th retro ponies maybe able to be sun-faded, well starshine anyways.
one day in the summer break/christmas holidays i needed some cheering up from some annoying family members who were staying with us at the time and driving us up the wall so i grabbed my starshine who was the only one of my four rainbows still in her box and got her out only to see her with very yellowed blotches on both sides of head and on one side of her upper body, disappointed i just left her down the sunny end of my bedroom out of the way but making my bedroom smell nice, the part of my bedroom she was in is like a sun-room attached to my bedroom, its very light and bright, no direct sun as its summer here and the sun is high but very powerfull as in New Zealand we have high UV rays from lack of ozone layer.
just pickup her up now to find that 90% of her yellownish has gone. her body is pure white with a little bit on her head which was under her mane.
im not sure i would recommend doing this with colourered ponies as i recockon they might fade, i don't think the bridge direct quality is like the 80s Hasbro ones
sorry no before photos as i didn't expect it, just have starshines head in the direct sun now and see how see goes. :satisfied:

That's reassuring! Also, "air freshener" ha.
Einhornbaby:
Tehehehe "air freshener" XD nice!
Good to hear that shes white again! <3 (but awful that a pratically new pony would develope such goo on her body in the first place!)
mlp4me:
Good to know that the she can be sun faded. I had to have one, so far she's only slightly off-white... Sun here is weak, so she'd have to be in the window for almost a year for any results.
