I have been prepping things to do while I'm down after my surgery.  I've heard differing accounts of how long I'll be down (ranging from 2 weeks to 6 weeks--I think 6 weeks would be pure torture!) so I've gotten some painting projects together, some books, and video games and I'm working on putting together a box of scrapbooking.  And I always have writing and other computer projects to work on.  Since FanX is about a month away I'm also trying to get everything together for that (with the exception of clothing) so that I can go if I'm up for it. I've got a trip to my sister's house this weekend and then my surgery as soon as we get back next week so it's starting to get down to the wire getting stuff together since it takes me longer to do things than it normally would.  I hate that they made me wait so long to have this surgery.  I think waiting for it to happen is worse than the surgery is going to be.  >_<

Good vibes, prayers, and happy healing for your surgery.

Day 6 might not make it...I just feel so stressed out and I tend to feel better with junk food. It's more of a female thing.

Post Merge: March 19, 2019, 05:20:59 PM

Yup failed...I did feel better for a few hour and I am horrible sick from the stress...but that just means tomorrow is day 1

Post Merge: March 20, 2019, 06:08:30 AM

Day 1...but a huge stress is gone today. We can stay in our apartment for another year. I hate being locked in b.c. to a year, but it's better than being rushed.

My job goal is to go back to teaching and focus on piano and voice lessons. I just need my job to come through this week. It's just nice to know I am here till 2020 and a lot of things can change.

I feel I can plan now. Work on myself and start to repair a lot of myself and fix the damage life can put on someone. I feel hopeful.

Post Merge: March 21, 2019, 06:35:11 AM

A new day has started, a new chance to learn, and maybe just maybe it will get better.

Post Merge: March 21, 2019, 07:26:43 AM

Back to day 1. I pulled out my tracking and I have list 10 pounds...since January. That made me feel good. Trying to focus on other things in Hope's of keeping me positive. I know the stress is bad, mostly out of my control, but its affecting me. I have no options for medical help at this point. My hubby is my rock, my fur babies keep me moving.

Day 1. My task today is find a positive in the day.

Going to post my dream. Maybe I can get focused. My dream is to teach music lessons at a more full time status. I did this a long time ago, and I can get back to it.

Sorry to unload here. I dont have much options and this tends to help me.

Day 2...should be easy. No one to tempt me with food or drive near it at work today..so it could be good. My temp job is terrible at training so I am lazy at work, which i hate doing. I have 20 days till my other job can hire me....yup it is on count down. Now that my housing situation is solidified,  no moving the stress is easier. I just have to have patience as proper procedure are taken.

Had fruit today for breakfast getting back to healthy eating. Had my first blood orange...it was interesting

Also other job sent an offer, I accepted, now I have to figure out the TWO jobs and have sleep in between and see my family as my poor husband is already freaking out over my absence.

Ooh de lally ooh de lally ,golly what a day...

Squirmy you and ponyfan always have something positive no matter what you do. It's always a great view. Good vibes prayers to get better soon. 2 jobs takes a lot of juggling. I did that for 5 years. ...might do it again soon.

Post Merge: March 23, 2019, 12:04:27 PM

Made it through day 3. It was hard but my hubby stopped on his lunch break so I had no time to get off the wagon! Yeah! Its my weekend for day 4 and 5...so if I want to be bad I have to walk. Hehe.

I am developing a plan. I want to loose 5 pounds and play piano over my weekend. If I do both (loose 5 will take longer than a weekend) but once I do I get to wear heels to work. I love heels and it's my reward!

My plan is to make little goals and reward each time I reach them. Just fun things like heels or try on my favorite outfits.

My hubby said something very sweet and made me realize some of my struggle is how I look at myself. Well if I work towards with positive rewards I can help myself not spiral.

Thanks for being my sounding board everyone

Surgery is tomorrow.  Still a little freaked over it, but not as much as before.  I think now I'm to the point that I'm tired of waiting so let's get the stupid thing over with already. :pout:

But I have lost 8 pounds since I hurt myself last month so I'm hoping that trend continues.  I have a bunch of stuff ready to go to keep me busy while I'm down since I'm supposed to keep my leg straight with no weight on it for two weeks.  (Netflix bingeing here I come.)

Looks like everyone else is working hard so keep up the good work, kids! :ohyeah:

Best wishes pokeyonekenobie! I hope you have a speedy recovery! :)

I’m also glad to hear things are starting to settle a bit for you crowning_glory13! I’m glad you can stay where you are for now and have some time to come up with a plan! :)

As for me, I’ve officially passed my state licensing exam, so I will be selling insurance now! :cheer: it’s definitely not what I planned on doing with my life, but it’s a really great job opportunity and some part of me actually finds insurance interesting?? I actually think I might stick with the industry for a while.
I got the highest score in my training class, so I’ve been helping my peers who didn’t pass on the first try study for their second try. My classmates also seem to like my artwork, even though I’ve just been doing littlemstick figures and doodles for training posters  The group of people I’m training with are excellent and all really sweet, so I’m feeling thankful for my job a the moment. I know it’s not easy to find a positive environment like this in a workplace.

My food habits haven’t necessarily been the best, but I’m upping my overall exercise which helps offset that a little bit :P Now that I’m not studying there’s really no excuse for me to be bad anymore, so I’m going to work on getting back on track!

Into magic I am so happy for you. Yes happy work environment is a wonderful thing. Reading your happy post brings me such joy. I know each state is different but understanding insurance is very helpful. Might call you up:) hehe.

I have become vocal at my job. I am professional and proper, but my job is really missing that even though I am demoted it's still complicated for me. I have 4 pages of notes on what I need to do for my job. And that is not all of it. I could be called into the big office and it could be the end of my job. I have 17 days before my other job starts. Not able to go that long with no income:( I will jump to a waitress job if that happens. I can work nights when the other starts.

Played piano for 15min wow I am rusty. I might have to perform April 11 so I better get to practicing.

Things are slow and I just have to trudge along. Each day is step closer to a better tomorrow

Post Merge: March 26, 2019, 04:59:34 PM

And back to day 1:( sigh. I choose something healthier but still spent money when I dont need to:( we begin again. April is the last month to keep going.

Not sure if I will keep this up after April. Feels like more work than fun.

Day 1 for me. I got a job lined up for April 11th. I am going to a horrible job till then. I have to pay Bill's. I am scared and excited for this job. They want to give me an elevated position but I gave to go through training. It's all commission based so I am a bit nervous.

I am grateful to work even if the environment is toxic and poorly managed. But only 16 days left!!! Things I have to do to pay Bill's. I have only worked for less than 2 weeks. Been in the office twice, and left alone to figure out how to do the job....sigh...sorry for the word vomit.  I just have to get it out.

Day 1 for me. I am dragging slowly to get ready for work. This way I have no time to stop for junk. If I reach 7 days I can get a blind bag pony with all the confetti. They are so darn cute. Been more active with it nice out.

Sorry you're in a toxic environment, CG!  I was in one for 5 years and the best day of that job was the day I quit without notice.  (What was funny about it was that one of my friends that worked there told me that the day after I quit the manager and assistant manager were trying to figure out my job-because they actually didn't know how to do my job--or theirs for that matter, which is why everyone went to me when they had a question and they didn't like that, which is why they picked on me---and she said they looked like monkeys trying to figure out a computer.)

My surgery went well.  I actually hadn't damaged my meniscus like they thought.  The damage they saw in the MRI was shredded bits of my ACL, so apparently I managed a bang-up job destroying that.  Now I have a cadaver graft so I've told my nieces and nephews that I'm part zombie now and they think that's the coolest thing ever.  Since the cadaver bit is in my knee it is literally the walking dead now.   So far I'm not in pain but the nerve block hasn't completely worn off yet so we'll see how that goes once it's gone.
