Waiting on a Display Cabinet

Currently I am waiting on a display cabinet from Hayneedle. I originally purchased the same cabinet on Amazon and love it, but I quickly realized there was no way I could squeeze all 198 of my ponies into one display cabinet, even with risers . I ended up going through Hayneedle instead because I was able to get a good discount on the cabinet when compared to Amazon's nearly $200. Sadly, weather decided that my arrival date of Friday was too soon, so now I have to wait until Tuesday to receive my cabinet! The worst part is, my husband and I raid in World of Warcraft on Tuesdays, which means that the cabinet won't get set up until Wednesday. I guess my poor ponies will have to be cramped just a little bit longer!

They are so worth it! Very heavy though, so I know my husband isn't looking forward to helping me lug it up the three flights of stairs to our apartment, lol! However, I would highly recommend them, I have nothing but love for my current cabinet!

I have three white bookcases that I got from Amazon and three brown wood Curios right now for my collection! I would love something that would all match for sure!

I can't look at the Cabinets...for some strange reason my access is denied to that website....probably due to me being from outside of the US...maybe you can post a picture here? X

I would have loved to use bookcases, but unfortunately I have cats that would have loved to make me play Pony-Pick-up after knocking them off the shelves. Additionally, I hate dusting, so closed cabinet makes that much easier.

I will post pictures as soon as it arrives, I assemble it, and have my ponies rearranged.

Do you suggest arranging by type, color, set or otherwise?

Currently I have mine arranged by set.

I like to put all of mine by the same pose! They take up less space and feel they are more organized.

Tada! Sadly they sent me the skinnier and fewer shelf version on accident. Luckily since this was their fault and glass can’t be returned they are giving it to me for free!

Nice cabinet! I like the contemporary look of it.

Just a word of caution.. make sure it's not totally sealed and air can still flow freely inside.. It looks like the doors aren't completely closed, so that's a good thing..

I had my collection in a tall cabinet and over time, the ponies started to stink, gotta love old plastic! hah.. Realized it was pretty air tight and there wasn't enough circulation. I eventually had to air them out and display them in an open shelf bookcase, which worked fine for me. The feline left them alone for the most part.

Always nice getting a cabinet for free! It's very exciting knowing you can have a safe place for your ponies. I can't wait to see pics once everyone is settled.
