"Fixed" G4.5s

I'm Very Passionate about the quality of G4s and I'd like to see what they'd look like if Hasbro put in Any amount of effort. Also it's good painting and Photoshop practice

Luna is my first attempt at doing anything major. Before it was small things like eyes and head shapes, but I wanted to try to give her new hair and accessories. I fixed her head shape, ears, gave her accessories (the crown is recoloured from a Celestia, the necklace is original), fixed her hair (recoloured from Twilight Sparkle stock images and repainted in places, particularly the forelock), and made her cutie mark bigger. I can only get better from here, the wings and ears need work.

Spike is one I fixed earlier because hoo boy. Hasbro does NOT like him.

I made his head smaller, repainted his eyes (tbh rushed, but this was supposed to be a quick edit anyway), painted his mouth, fangs, and chin, fixed his ear, gave him eyebrows (like in the quadrupedal mold), and repainted his head spikes. And most noticeably, gave him wings.

I plan on doing more, maybe, but I don't know who else is really bad enough to fix. Any suggestions? (Not sure if I'll do Cadence, she seems more complicated because of her hair colours...)

Those look so much better! A lot of the changes aren’t even that drastic, I doubt it would cost hasbro much more to put a little more effort in, but what do I know

The only ones that looks remotely similar to this is the Target exclusive Ultimate Equestria Collection. You did a fantastic job on these edits for sure!

They look good-- I especially love Luna's ear. However, I have a (hopefully constructive) criticism.

I think maybe you should do these in a 3D program. I only say that, because Spike's head spikes don't seem to be following the curve of the back center of his head. And I think the eyes are tricky because they have to look "ok" at different angles-- so those back eyes aren't going to lay the way you photoshopped them in. Or poofing out Luna's cheek on one side, but not doing the same on the other side.

I do think that Spike would look 100x better if they put black eyeliner on him. meh.

There's always going to be cost and manufacturing restraints...

Criticism noted, but I don't plan on learning any 3D programs soon ;( Spike was very quickly done and more of a mockup than a serious effort. Luna's cheeks... I see what you mean... I didn't notice that!

That's what's so frustrating! What's with Spike's eyes?? Are you telling me giving him eyelashes costs that much more? And the gradients?

Luna looks so good! Cadance bugs me a lot because her eyes are always placed like...that. Even in newer releases, what the heck?
I'd say maybe Twilight if you want a simple one, always bugs me she has PURPLE hair when it's more a DARK BLUE.

     Why can’t we have people like you working in hasbros toy development section? I like your versions much much better than the official releases. They’d honestly have a lot more business if they just put a bit more effort into their figures.
