I’m sure most of you have seen what’s going on in California. Are any members here near the affected areas? And how are you doing? I hope you are all safe.

Saw this on the news this morning and my heart broke. It's absolutely awful and I wish no one ever had to go through something like that.
As BethyVic said, I hope you are all safe

We spent 2 weeks in California in summer and have friends who live near Paradiss :( so, so sad. I have a lot of love for CA and it’s awful to think that some of the places I visited or drove through just aren’t there any more. It will take a long time to rebuild everything.

It's been on the news everyday here, it's just awful how a fire can erase entire cities, seeing pictures from Paradise and hearing interviews from survivors is just heartbreaking. We had a couple of huge forest fires this summer and even volunteers went out to help put them out, luckily none died. I hope no Arena Member is affected.

I'm in the bay area, a few hours south. No fire here but the air quality is bad enough that school campuses are closing for multiple days. It's 2-3 times as bad as the threshold of unhealthy levels due to all the smoke from so many different potentially hazardous things burning. Gotta wear a mask outside.

We’re hearing about it up here. A few years back, a big fire came through my home province and did similar stuff to what the fires in California are doing. We had family in the city and small towns that got hit the hardest, so I hope any of our arena friends down in California are safe.

It's rearranged a lot of folks day to day activities, heading into a week and two days of seriously bad air quality in the Sacramento Valley. It's been creepy constantly smelling the smoke and seeing it, it looks like heavy fog. Knowing that so many have lost everything because of this fire, please keep the firefighters and the families in your thoughts. This area has already been through so much over the past four years because of wildfires.

I'm in no danger directly from the fire, just dealing with all the smoke.

My friend who lives near there and I have been comparing air quality. The air in CA is worse then my air in China.

The rain is very much needed but for those living in the burn scar, it's downright scary. Can't imagine having to leave twice in one month. Being cooped up inside for that long made me appreciate being able to go outside when I wanted.
