I haven't necessarily been tempted to keep something I bought for my partner... but ooooh boy have I been tempted to buy stuff for myself during the swap that I could potentially get from my partner had to keep reminding myself "noooo your partner might get that for you!"

I've had a sort of unrelated, but similar experience. When I was out getting supplies for the card swap, I saw the most delightful unicorn Christmas decorations that I'm sure my partners would love. I had to keep reminding myself, this swap is for cards, not decorations
