Cosplayers/Fursuiters/etc.: How do you pick your Halloween costume?

I have 3 fursuits and 4 cosplays and if I don't have one that's particularly newer than the rest, I end up stumped! In the end I try to make the most logical decision based on who I'll be with on Halloween unless I really want to show off my one new costume for the year. If it's convenient, I try to finish new costumes around Halloween, like my Stargate SG1 uniform last year and my teddy bear suit this year.

So I'm curious, do you make a new Halloween costume every year, wear a costume you already have for other occasions, or is Halloween an excuse to make a new cosplay/etc.?

I have only one fursuit (in the process of building another, though) but I have other cosplays. I decided to go out in fursuit this year because I love the reactions I get from people. So to answer your question, I choose based on the response I want to get from other people.
