Good to hear that a box will be distributed! I just found them today at Gabe's (think JCPenny or Kohl's but cheaper) for $2.99 each. Definitely a surprise.

Not everyone has a Gabe's nearby unfortunately. Maybe you can pick up some for those who aren't able to get any from Galatica?

Here in Argentina 4 months ago arrived the baby sea ponies, but all of them to only one chain of toy shops. I mean, it is the only one that has the 4 from EEUU, the european 4 and the 2 hippogriffs, then in only one supermarket I saw the 4 from EEUU.

I bought all the sea ponies but not the hippogriffs, now I´m thinking that I should buy them

I have a feeling that if the big box stores in the US (Target, Walmart, etc) passed up the baby griffons - they still may appear in more unusual places,

I've never heard of "Gabe's"  but I suppose places like that and Ross is where I'd keep an eye (if you are in the US).

I got mine, too...they are beyond adorable and I had to buy the other sets I had put off getting. A good belated birthday gift to me. I'll definitely keep an eye out for them, but I don't get out shopping much.

Yeah I'm really glad I have these 2. If I can ever find another pair affordably I want to repaint them so the baby hippogriffs will follow the same pattern the baby seaponies did of 2 colors per mold.
