Is Hong Kong Tux n Tails super sought after or something? My Tux is out to auction and I'm kind of shocked over all the attention he's getting. What am I missing?!?!

I don’t know about rarity, but I believe there is a significant colour difference between the HK or CHINA Tux. Perhaps he is the missing pony to somebody’s collection? Sometimes I find that rarer ponies loiter, or commoner ponies shoot up in price, just based on who is shopping and how keen they are to get that one right there right now.

I've been planning to put my Tux up for sale and I'm surprised at the prices they're running for right now.  Yours isn't the one that's up to $280 now, is it?

Good question! I've been downsizing all my collections for a while - ponies, kaiju, dolls, LPS, etc. Most recently, I've been focusing on high end resin dolls, which are pricey, so the rule is I must sell objects from my existing collection to pay for new. I'm aiming to buy a house in the next six months and every sale helps as well!

I do a lot of browsing on facebook groups, he's come up a lot lately, and honestly not one has been under $110 for him. I think he's on an upward trend... If you've got his fuzzy female friend or magenta gal, we gotta talk... lol

Pony value goes through peaks and valleys, and I guess you hit a lucky peak.

This is one of the issues I have with printed books that have price guides, because MLP prices have never been particularly stable in one direction or another. It's basically out of date the moment it goes to print.
