G2 playsets - variant Enchanted throne and Kitchen accessories?

Ok, I'm lost. My little wiki states that the Enchanted throne playset with Queen Sunsparkle has purple (and?/) or red accessories. For some there is variant on the item description. Does this mean there are EITHER purple OR red accessories to a set or did they all come within one set? And does the throne itself differ too?

And also G2 Sweet Berry's kitchen. Little wiki hasn't got a variant but I have a set with an orange instead of white top of the oven and orange instead of purple accessories.... is this a real variant? Any idea which accessories belong to this set and if there are more differences?

So the reason for this is that injection moulds are expensive.  It's cheaper to make one mould that has many small parts on a single 'tree' (properly called a sprue) that can then be cut apart after casting.  But if you want multiple colours in a set, you either end up wasting half the parts, or you end up with several 'variant' options in reverse colours.
