Hi,

I just logged on to Netflix and Netflix has removed seasons 5-7 of FIM. The EG movies are still there for now.

Argh they removed a bunch of stuff my kid was watching last night... frustrating that this was clearly amongst the deleted shows...

I wonder why they only removed some of it. I heard last month it would be removed. At least it tends to tell you if a program you're watching will be removed soon.

Netflix has been doing this left and right, it's why I switched to Hulu. >.> They took everything I liked off.

I suspect it has something to do with ownership, but I really have no idea.
I know they did this with Futurama *grumble* they only had the last three seasons available and took everything else off. For ownership reasons, something like Fox owned the first few and Comedy Central owned the last few and Fox cut ties with Netflix so they were removed. Or something.

Hulu picked them up.

As well as the rest of my shows.
I can easily see them doing the same here.

They pushed back the removal date for s1-4, yes? It feels strange to me considering Everfree was meant to be a sort of Netflix exclusive.

I never saw an official notice on my Netflix that they would be removing some of the seasons and I keep FIM on my watchlist. I kept meaning to watch some of the Season 7 episodes I missed but I guess I will have to find them on my recorded episodes from my TV. I also find it strange that Netflix only removed some of the seasons and not all.

Yeah I noticed that too. I was using Netflix to watch older FIM episodes and rewatch some of my favorites but the episodes didn't go much past The Crystal Empire.

I had spotted the warning, it was previously dated for 8/16, but got pushed back. It was a discreet little pop up in the upper left when youd start an episode before the rating, but super easy to miss. Seasons 1-4 still say they'll be removed I think on the 30th? I've heard its all moving over to Hulu & Amazon streaming.
I literally only ever signed up for Netflix to binge pony...

Pony going to Amazon and Hulu. (Ctrl+F "my little" and scroll up. September 21st on both days). Ugh, I've got Amazon but I just tend to not use it because I don't have the login for myself. It may be time to weight Netflix and Hulu against each other and see if it's time to cut.

Thanks everyone. I guess that will include losing the Equestria Girls movies as well ( I still need to watch Everfree and the EG shorts) I was trying to get by on just one streaming service but I might sign up for Hulu when they get My Little Pony.

OMG Everfree is my favorite! Definitely watch it before/incase it disappears (no word on EQG yet as far as I know)
*NOSHAME* I didnt think Id like any of the EQG movies, and the toys freak me out- but I wound up loving them

I discovered by accident that FIM was streaming on Amazon Prime (when I went to look for Starlight;s introductory episodes). I guess that's universal because I also discovered Netflix here doesn't have 5-7 either. I have no idea if there was a warning but in my experience I've never yet seen any warning about the removal of any show I was watching on either Prime or Netflix so who knows.

I will miss the EQG ones if they go too, unless they go to Prime as well.

Yay! I’m happy everything is back.

I hope it stays on Netflix. It would be terrible if Netflix took it away again. I was seriously thinking about switching to Hulu and I still might.
