Why isn't the Drive-in an option? I love the drive-in.

These days I use my PS3 for Netflix and DVDs more than games

Going to the theater is so expensive and too much of a gamble if the movie sucks. I think the last movie I saw that way was Split since I figured I would like it (I'm a shameless Shyamalan fan) and I'd like to see Glass in the cinema too.

I'm looking forward to Glass! I wasn't expecting a sequel at all.

Why isn't the Drive-in an option? I love the drive-in.

I still have never been to one, I think the last one in our state is up in the Wisconsin Dells. Not many exist anymore  :(

I mostly watch at home. I usually only go to see the new Disney in the theater or if my one friend needs someone to go with because he's too embarrassed or needs a second opinion (like captian underpants I loved the books as a kid and he is far too old when they would have come out in print). He reviews every film that hits our local theater opening week.   I have a hard time sitting down and watching new things. I have a hard enough time playing video games! Winter time when I have less to do outside is typically the only movie watching I get in, and then it's a lot of rewatching holiday favorites.

That's a shame Jazz. I enjoy the drive-in so much. I like being outside. The concession stand is fun and they serve decent food at the one I go to. Also, you get two or three movies for the price of one, but it's hard to sit for three movies.

I use my VHS player because my nearby market gives away free VHS tapes.

I still have a VCR in my room so that's how I watch my obscure old tapes. I got a bunch of free ones when a local movie store was clearing out their stock that wouldn't sell, like cartoon show tapes with 2 episodes on them.

On our TV at home! It cost way to much to go to the theater to see it! And you have to deal with crying kids and laughing loud people. I always miss what they are saying cause the people are so loud!

We also like to rent from Vudu and get a movie from Red Box time to time. That is when we have some extra cash and something is worth paying for! Otherwise we watch out free tv threw antenna.

I'm hearing impaired, and the only thing guaranteed to have subtitles is Netflix. Few tv shows and theatres offer subtitles. I'm not totally deaf so I can get away with it for the most part but it's tiring to do.

I wish there was one more option for "more than one of the above" because for me it's both the computer and TV :) (I don't like mobile devices and I don't go to theaters) Sometimes I like to watch a movie while sitting in front of the computer and know that once it ends I can just go right back to browsing the Internet or doing other things, and sometimes just lay on my bed and watch something on the big TV. In fact, my TV has HDMI connections to the cable box, the DVD player AND the computer, so it allows me to either just watch cable, something from my DVD collection (like G1 releases from Shout Factory ) or even something digital stored on the computer when I don't feel like sitting at the desk. But since I can only choose one option, I just went with television ;)

"On my television, it's better than the noise and cost of the theater"

At most, I would see a movie every two years. Thing is: it costs too much to go to the theatre and it takes time and effort. I rather have my own movie night at home.

Adding, if there's a special showing of ballet or the opera. Around here Fathom events hosts "live from the Met, the NYC Ballet". The show is in real time, so you feel like you're right there. I'm going to see The Nutcracker on Sunday. Tickets are more expensive but I feel it's warranted. Plus it's typically shown in the one with reclining seats and better sound.
