A night at the movies

 :soda:

I don't watch many movies or even television, I suppose. It's a tie between watching a movie on my television or my tablet though.

I prefer to watch movies at home on my own television. I swear it looks better than the theater and plus you know privacy, pause button, and quiet.

Hesitated between picking laptop, but theatres don't have the luxury of being able to pause, watch with internet friends, or be incredibly comfy in bed with a very comforting movie!
It's too small on my phone and I'm on my laptop most of the time anyway!

These days I use my PS3 for Netflix and DVDs more than games

Going to the theater is so expensive and too much of a gamble if the movie sucks. I think the last movie I saw that way was Split since I figured I would like it (I'm a shameless Shyamalan fan) and I'd like to see Glass in the cinema too.

I watch most of my movies at home, generally rented via YouTube. But I picked going to the theatre because that's something Jay and I do when he visits and I love it. It's not necessarily the most practical way to watch a movie, but it's an experience and its unique and generally memorable for me.

Most are watched at home (either on TV or the computer), select movies are seen at the theatre, and each summer we go to the drive-in.

Some movies I’ll go to see in theatres. But it’s just easier and more comvinenet for Dad to find a copy online and download it.
Also, I don’t have to pay absurd amounts for popcorn that tends to give me an upset stomach. Something in the topping they put in just isn’t right. Without the topping though, it tastes like cardboard. The two evils of the movie theatre.
This. Sentence. Is. False! Dontthinkaboutitdontthinkaboutit.

I like watching movies on my television. The screen is nice and big, and it's wall-mounted, so I don't have to look down like I would with my laptop screen.

I enjoy going to the movies every now and then, but it's pricey, so it has to be a movie I really want to watch.

We don't have a proper cinema in my town anymore and keeping up with new films (well, new anything, really) got exhausting a long time ago - there's too much everything!!! - so I just took up residence under a nice, cozy rock and mainly watch things on my laptop with a cup of tea and something to nibble on. Pretty much the only films I still watch are the Mind's Eye films, that are kind of like montages of early 90s cgi animation; they have a really optimistic vibe about them that always chills me out. They were released in physical media, but it was Laserdisc, and I'm not going down that treacherous road just to be able to watch something on my TV, as fascinating as failed/defunct formats are, so profoundly rubbish laptop screen it is. XD

I prefer sitting at home watching the TV. I've been to our only IMAX once and was not impressed, but I love going to the cinema in general and go once or twice a month. But for me nothing beats sitting at home on the couch with a blanket, a candle and large cup of tea, complete silence from all around and being able to take breaks when I need it.

I prefer to watch movies on my computer. Computer screens are easier on my eyes than any other option, which is important. I also don't watch them full-screen, for the same reason - an option that isn't available anywhere else. I can also control the volume as need-be, use headphones, pause to go to the bathroom (which isn't public, because I'm at home!). It can't be beat!

Pretty much this for me too with films. I actually don't watch that many films, but if I want to see them it's somehow more fun and absorbing to see them in the cinema. It's weird because as a kid I was scared of the cinema because it was so loud and there was this really obtrusive smell of popcorn that I had real issues dealing with...but as an adult I like going. There are some films I really like, though, and have watched several times on DVD/TV at home.

I don't do streaming or youtube or internet movies. Although that said, sometimes off Netflix, if that counts as streaming. But that's on my TV too, so...

I have not gone to the movies in over a year, the good ones are too out of my way  and expensive. Netflix and my lap top is cheaper, or I have my DVD player.

I agree! In fact, when I think about it, the last movie I saw in theaters was The Peanuts Movie back in November of 2015, so it's been three years for me!
