Spyro the Dragon - Reignited Trilogy coming this fall!

Im a huuuuge Spyro fan since the first game came out in 1998 and Im totally looking forward to the release of the new Reignited Trilogy that will be coming this fall! Im suuuper excited! You too?

I really loved Spyro as a kid too, Gateway to Glimmer was always my favourite of them - there were so many beautiful environments in that game and the ambient music in the overworlds was lovely. The introduction of the swimming mechanic was a stroke of genius as well, it always chilled me out just having a leisurely trek about underwater. Never did succeed in defeating Ripto at the end, though - even as an adult, that is one tough boss fight! I'm probably going to hang fire on the remakes for a little while, just to get a bit more detailed information on how they play and feel, but if they turn out alright then I'll definitely be more than happy to give them a go!

Hm, I managed to defeat Ripto in the end of the first game but I never made it to all the gems... I always had a few missing :/ lol.

And OMG when they introduced swimming!!!!! That was a chill when I first dived in In the first game, water was your nemesis lol, it took lots of willpower to jump in!

Ohhhh Spyro. My childhood favourite. I still own and regularly play the original three. And I have other Spyro games. I am so excited for this, I love the fresh new spin. It gives the games a new feel but with nostalgic aspects. I can't wait to 100% them again.

As a child I had one opportunity to play a Spyro game at a relative's house when visiting, I loved it! But our family only had Nintendo and my parents wouldn't buy a PlayStation for a single game. So when I heard it was getting remastered I think I was more excited than my partner who did grow up with the games lol.

I preordered the day it came up on Amazon! The original trilogy is still the "only" Spyro I recognize.

My family was the same way - at least some of the games were released on Nintendo consoles, so I wasn't completely deprived of the purple dragon, lol.

I just about went through the roof when I saw it was getting remastered - heck, I was so excited that I even convinced myself to save for a PS4! Unfortunately though, that had to go to unexpected bills, so I guess I'll be waiting to play a little longer.

I'm hyped! I've still got the old games, but I'm still hyped.

God, I hope they add bonus levels to this.

Oh I love Spyro!  I seem to remember thinking Year of the Dragon was too short or something- but I'll probably buy the new one when it releases anyway
