Cutie mark crew blind box: scammers watch out!
« on: August 28, 2018, 06:23:06 PM »
So disappointed!

I picked up some cutie mark crew blind boxes today and when I opened them, they were all messed up! Someone must have bought a bunch and then cherry picked what they wanted from each one and then carefully resealed and returned what they didn’t want. Not only that, they’re dirty! I’m so disappointed.  I don’t understand why people do this.

Be careful when buying and hopefully it doesn’t happen to you. :(

Edit: This is how they came

Was the plastic on it absolutely sealed? You don't have any pics of the packaging, do you?

It was sealed, but the cello wrap part easily slides up the tube. It could have been taken off and then carefully put back.

Were they resealed, or was is a bootleg set?

Do you have a picture of the box?

I bought them from toys r us, they’re definitely an official item. I’ll take a pic when I get home.

I know some stores have been taken advantage of before and the distributor purchased bootleg merch. It has happened with Pokemon and YuGiOh TCGs before. You may want to take that up with TrU to see what they have to say.

Another reason I am pretty sure they’re returns is that each one had Their stands attached to the bottom of them and they were already neatly placed in their accessories. I know the ones I bought previously were not like that.

I get really annoyed when people buy things, take things out that they want and the repackage the item and return it to store for someone else to buy. That is not right. I've seen dolls that had been robbed of their original outfit and set back on store shelves wearing a completely different one, blind bag figures torn open with the figure missing. (Who wants to buy an empty bag?) etc..

I'm sorry that happened to you.

I had some come with their stand attached and in their accessories.  Didn't think anything of it, but sorry you are having a hard time with the ones you bought

Wow. Who the heck does something like this, cherry picking blind bags? That’s taking all the fun out of getting one! The person who did this has a special place in the pony underworld, I can tell you that.
This. Sentence. Is. False! Dontthinkaboutitdontthinkaboutit.

I mean, that's what everyone did with the regular blindbags that had codes, just look up the codes and grab the ones you want, avoid ones you don't want or doubles.

Now repackaging them after opening them, and returning them, that's scummy. Especially if you don't even do it correctly like whoever did this seemed to do, judging by the photo...

Wow, that's a big mixup there.
I'll try to see if the cellophane can be moved up easily next time I buy them.
Cheerilee doesn't even come with sushi? She comes with watermelon. Spike comes in a hotdog...

I hope you took they up with TrU, or sent a message to Hasbro with a copy of your receipt  T_T
