8 Inch Wuzzles cousins?

Hi everyone,
Today I found a Koalakeet Wuzzle. On ghost of the doll it says that only the originals were produced as 8 inch plush, and that the cousins only came as 12 inch size. Koalakeet is a perfect match to the 12 inch version but is much smaller. The blue eyes are most likely from fading (they’re a light purple) Her wings are the exact same, and the feet have the card padding just like the g1 plushies. I cannot find a tag on her.
What do you think? Is she just a really good fake?

According to ghost of the doll, the cousins only came in large size. There is a chance this may be a prototype or bootleg.

I would guess really good fake. You get some cool stuff over the pond. Rainbow Brite fakies can be hard to tell because molds were copied with markings. A lot of trickery was afoot in the 1980's with toys... He is absolutely adorable, you're fortunate to have him in your collection!

Thank you everyone! I agree they are rather cute! I would say she is a well done fake too, I’ve also found a fake rainbow brite sprite here! What’s also odd (and adds to the fake theory) is that I found it in a box of early 2000s stuff, with a g3, but then again it seems a bit late and irrelevant to fake it so long after? Or maybe it belonged to a parent?

Edit: after looking at the Instagram page, I found that it is real! At least Koalakeet and Tycoon were made in this size! Although they say 6 inch, when mine is more 8-9 inch, but that’s probably just due to batch difference. Either way I’m happy to say I have three official Wuzzles now
