July - Mid August Acquisitions post party!

The last couple of weeks have been interesting pony-wise, I've taken to calling up antique or thrift places in advance and asking if they have ponies. Most do not but I DID get a yes from one! I want to say this was about mid-July, check out the squad all cleaned up under the spoiler! (I also got a super cute seapony themed coloring book in this haul!)

Bonnie had to get a rust treatment, so that's why she has a replaced tail.

A few days later, a place actually called me back to tell me that they specifically had many G1 ponies in their shop.
The only problem was that they were 2 hours away, in another state! My dad and I planned for a long road trip to look at those ponies and boy was it worth it. There was a LOT I left behind, including a Satin Slipper Sweet Shoppe, a Show Stable and lots and lots and lots of miscellaneous accessories. Here is what I brought home with me (note: rare babies, Baby Glory and Baby Lickety (affectionately dubbed "Lickoty" on a box of diapers) were not found in the haul, I just used them to model the baby ponywear and their accessories!)

Now this happened more recently. On the last Wednesday of each summer month (so June July August), a town very close by me has a big event with food, vendors, and music. I go whenever I can mainly to get beef nachos from a specific food vendor (seriously these people should be a chain restaurant, those things are HEAVEN) but I also like to walk down to a very sweet older lady who has a shop containing all sorts of antique and vintage items. We have known each other for years and I always stop by to say hi and see if she has ponies/pony related items. This time, she presented me with a box of plastic cups that a woman had brought in that used to belong to her daughter, in the original box they came in and everything!
They were just $8 for all four, and I just think they are super duper cute!

Last Saturday was the second time a huge, huge, HUGE annual flea market is open this year, they only open twice a year and I have found MUCH treasure in this event. It's one of my most anticipated events and part of the reason I get excited for summer each year. This year, my haul was fairly small (tee hee I rhymed), but I'm still very happy. The clock (which is very hidden) and two G3 ponies were from my favorite place on Earth aka Saver's(remember $5 Mimic? That's where I found her!), which just so happens to be right across from this flea market! It's like a magic ring of pony luck I tell you.

Oh my gosh!  I nearly fell over backwards seeing all these amazing pony finds!  You have done so incredibly well, I wonder if you'll ever be able to top it.  Congratulations on such a sweet haul!  Seriously sweet deals!

What a huge run of pony luck you are having. It was really nice of the shop to ring and let you know they had ponies in stock!  So exciting to get first pick of them
