The rattling in Baby Glory means, that the metal washer has come off the tail, check inside the to see if it has come loose, it might also be rusted inside. Best way to get rid of rust is oxi clean or another brand.

It was one of the things I was wondering it might be. Gonna try and heat up the head later when my nieces are in bed as they freaked out last time I removed a ponys head.

She doesn't seem to have tail rust. The rattle could be caused by the tail hole bit, which is pony plastic. So, harmless. Maybe try to see through the pony with a light behind it or something. Maybe a magnet could indicate if that's a washer or not, but I never tried that.
The only time I had loose washers were when the tail was gone.
With serious tail rust there is rust on the hair, too.

The rattle sounds also different. If it's softer and more disperse, that's rusty metal bits roaming around the insides. If it's more distinct and local with not a single outside trace of tail rust, it's more likely to be  a plastic bit, removed while making the tail hole.

The last remaining possibility coming through my mind is that the previous owned accidentally popped the tail off and put it right back in but the washer is still loose inside. Pull the tail a little, is it sturdy or will it pop out ? If that's the latter, maybe the washer is moderately rusty or intact, but you still might want to remove it to prevent future issues.

Maybe you want to leave the seal intact at all cost, in that case, make sure the pony is indeed rusty (Put a light behind it and see through. Don't mistake the uneven distribution of vinyl for rust). And try the magnet trick, it might work if the metal is still iron, so, not rusty or not much. Keep your pony in a dry environment.

Hope that helps.

Rose.

I took a flashlight and it looks like the metal ring that goes on the tail. There is no rust sign on either tail or mane.
Crossing my fingers its not rusty and stain the vinyl.

Wow, is it just the photo or is Confetti really that white? Lovely new ponies, congrats :D Shady is always a favourite of mine.

Some of my childhood ponies have rattly washers because their tails come out but aren't missing. It's not a huge flaw, just means they're probably not going to pass any ninja training drills for silent movement ;)

I'm glad yours doesn't seem to be rusted :D

I had no problem seeing her in the box.
Now she and Surprise can blend me. No wonder she have sunglasses symbols.

Starshine is a slight whiter then Confetti. Few smooze spots so gonna scrub those areas to see if I can get it off.

So glad its only Baby Glory I gonna hear coming to get me.

Awesome new ponies, congrats! Just have a peek inside Baby G: I have opened a pony because I thought he had a loose washer / rust and it turned out that all he had inside was the vinyl push out from his tail hole. So just check first, you might be lucky.

WOW!  You've got some beauties here!!  Pony mail is the best kind of mail!

I hope I can make a little suggestion, and please don't take it the wrong way  ... these ponies are in excellent condition.  Glitter loss is a super common problem with these sets, but these rainbow ponies actually have pretty decent symbols.  The glitter loss is minimal and the shapes and colours are still clear, which is more than can be said for 70% of other ponies available from these sets.  I personally would not touch up the symbols with anything at all, as it can seriously affect the value of the pony.  These ponies are in excellent condition, and I think tampering with the paint will detract from them.  They're beautiful enough that they could be left as they are  <3
