Barry 'Chuckle' Elliot 24/12/1944 - 5/8/2018

Sad news today that British comedian and one half of the Chuckle Brothers, Barry 'Chuckle' Elliot has died at the age of 73.

He and his brother started Chuckle Vision from 1987 - 2009, they had a game show called To Me...To You... which ran from 1996 - 1998

What are your memories of the Chuckle Brothers?

Mine was the episode where Paul and Barry were having a race and Paul was trying to cheat.

My sister and I were talking about this just yesterday. She apparently saw them in some pantomime a few years ago as well.

It does seem like a staple of our childhood has somehow gone with this kind of news.

I remember watching Chucklevision a lot as kids. But I don't really remember any specific plots - just their usual lines and the fact they made jokes about Rotherham FC a lot.

RIP Barry.

I remember them before Chucklevision, when they were dressed up in giant dog outfits as the 'Chucklehounds'. Weird programme, but Chucklevision catchphrases are now part of our country's vocabulary. Especially when trying to carry heavy furniture, as one comedian reminded us during a tribute...
