It’s been a week for me...whew. I have not been to work for about 4 days...now I am commission based. So not working everyday is not unusual. But I have had. The 40 plus hour work week for so long it’s hard to get used to. Still working and striving towards our goals. My job is also helping out in the less hours as this is our slow season....I didn’t realize a job could be so helpful...I am loving the job but it’s a rollercoaster of new things and self confidence.

Knitting great. I am not loosing weight but I am walking each day. I am at least staying active. Piano...not so much. I will develop a plan to keep trying.

Nov 10 will be the end of prizes. Saturday is super busy, so I will have to do drawings on Sunday.

For the first number generator drawing, I did it all....but I thought some of you would like to. Since you can’t see the name it would even surprise me. So if you want to do a contest random number generator for me, just post and say so:) once Sunday comes around I will post for you to give me a random number 1 to ? And once I get the number I will announce the winner:)

I also feel odd. I got a lot of things done today, but I feel behind...I even updated sales and eBay...but I feel I have hours to go before I sleep...hahaha

I'm willing to send out a small participation prize for everyone. But I'd need a list of participants, and addresses etc. (I'd rather get it as a whole list, so you'd probably have to manage that).

But since I didn't have time to prepare it, then it would take me time to create and distribute.

Well, I did it! My first time with a vendor table at a craft show. Here's a couple photos (first one is mine right after finishing setup, second one is from one of the hosts that took photos of the event).

Overall, actually did pretty good. Was very slow at first, but picked up in the afternoon - small sales, and a couple custom orders as well. Actually made a profit too (after fees, donation, and even taking out all my costs for initial setup - which I won't have to worry about again as much).

Now I have a good idea for next year of what will sell and what won't, and tweaks I might make.

I think the hardest thing is figuring out a product that sells like good but at the same time is fast to craft.. AND keeping it fresh if you continue to sell at the same venues so you'll have repeat customers.

The girl I vended next to at my con quit her job (kinda on a whim) and started selling her knitted stuff... If that's any inspiration...

Thanks everyone! I'd never be able to do crafting full time, certainly would not pay the bills, but it was a neat experience. Hubby is better at talking to people, I'm shier and just "hi".

It's taken me a while to get to this point - I've had my Etsy shop open for a bit over 2 years. I liked doing the small event.

I wear my Santa hat all December long, every year. This was a Christmas bazaar, so even though it's on November, had to wear the hat.

I wear a Santa hat the day after Thanksgiving!!!! My goal in life is to do craft shows in my slow work season. It's hard as I have to work weekends:p but my father in law does them so I plan to join him in case I need to work:)

I might give up my job when I retire...but going solo looks too unstable for my taste:)

Oh, I didn't mean that as quit your job. <_<;

I suppose that meant -- it was really cool how she just embraced it. She developed her skill (knitting), figured out her niche, and just *did* it.

Also interesting, she had only started knitting to keep her hands busy to stop smoking.
