Anybody know who this is or where they came from?
« on: August 02, 2018, 06:35:38 PM »
Hello! I have run into a bit of a pickle. while cleaning the other day, I found this little guy. I remember playing with this and another, similar dog. not sure where they are. But I don't really know who this is, or even what toy they are. I remember they came with a comb, a plastic doll bottle of shampoo and a little basket for hair accessories. again, don't know where they are

The dog has a yellow plastic for the head, and a white for the body. The facial details and toes are painted onto the toy. It doesn't have any visible markings on the feet that would indicate any copyright or patent pending. Not even a company name!
I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me anything about this.

Looks like a Sweetie Pups toy, from the late 80s/early 90s.  Maybe one, or a knockoff?

It's a knock-off Sweetie Pup, not a genuine one.

I have an Old English Sheepdog fakie MIB, it's probably by the same company, when I get home I can give the packaging a look over if you're interested.  ^.^

Thanks for the replies. I had a hunch it was a sweetie pup, but when I looked at pictures of them, none matched this little guy, hence my cry for help here. I’d love to know who made it. If you could look at the package and see what’s on it, that would be great tulips!

I should have remembered the company that made these is Cititoy, mine was packaged as a 'Puppy Loves' (c) 1988 - made in China. The packaging is very basic, it would have been cool to see the toy line range on the back, but no such luck.
