Not exactly a collector, but been interested in them for a while! My favourites are the Tie-Dye and the Crystal Rainbow from the Boom series  Used to own a red-haired one from the 2000s release.

*raises hand* ^^
Furbies are one of the main toys I collect. I've been loving them ever since they came out and I saw them first in a toy shop back in the late 1990s, as a teen, but as they were too expensive I didn't get any until the early 2000s. I have one or two I bought new from the more recent generations, but most of my furballs are second-hand, which I do not mind at all, I like to think they have a backstory like this :) I own at least one from every generation, but my favourites are the originals from the late 1990s-early 2000s. While the LCS eyes of the newer ones are fun, I still prefer the variety the random colours of the eyes of the originals offered, as well as the uniqueness of the pre-programmed names they had. First gen Furbs make up most of my Furby herd, which counts about100 members (I really should count them, as well as take a group photo...).

I'd love to see your Furbies Nella! :)

Aside from three of the adult '98s (Tie-Dye, Santa, and the Leopard standing on its box), a few of the plastic '98 McDonald's Furbys, and all the 2012 and after ones, they're all childhood Furbys.

@Loona: wow, I'd love to see pictures of them. I'm not a collector but found my original furby Ladybug. She still works (she's English). I was wondering if they are collectible too ;).

Any idea how rare mine is? :)

I used to have a bunch of them. My sis and I had two of the newer grey ones that we used to play 'Red Light Green Light' with for hours. I also remember I had a perpetually angry little older one that would either throw a tantrum or be generally upset almost constantly...I wonder what his previous owners had said to him to make him so angry? I pick them up every now and again when I find them for cheap.

Here's one of the newer-style ones I picked up for $2 at a thrift store that I customized! My mom named him Rosewood.

I have a handsome guy that I've been trying to sell a few months. He came from the basement (2005? Rockstar!!) and he still worked. Anyone interested?

I have 4 Furbies! 2 1998, 2 1999 babies. I'll take a photo later and share. I can't wait to open the NIB baby I got at the flea market but I'm nervous about it still working.

I had quite a hoard of the original McDonald's toys, and a nice giraffe pattern plush, but most of those are gone now.

Update: here are my Furbies! Untai (giraffe), Koko, Koko, and who knows.

I love all your guys' Furbys!

For '98s that seem to don't work, don't give up on them! Sometimes you just need to get their motor moving again. Here's a tutorial on how to push start Furby motors:

https://www.instructables.com/id/Push-Start-a-Comatose-Furby/

You don't necessarily have to go through the effort of re-gluing the faceplate or putting back in the zip tie. The three Furbys I've done this with so far all had faceplaces held on with screws, so I did screw them back up, but I didn't bother with the zip tie, in case I ever need to do it again. I also just cut the zip ties, rather than kept them intact.

And while I have done this with three Furbys, only two were successes. One of them ended up just having a dead motor, so it's truly non-working unfortunately.
